Something Missing

I made a bunch of these to give for the holidays that just past. The reviews are in and all agree that something was missing. I had a couple of jars left over so I thought I would give them a try. I immediately had to agree that something just wasn't right. It was the missing egg. The second batch was made with the addition of an egg. That was exactly what was missing. The directions definitely need to be rewritten with the addition of an egg. Everything could be left the same. I made a couple of extra jars and played around with the ingredients, but always remembered the egg.

Good gift~Great brownies

This is a great brownie recipe! The only thing that could possibly make it better would be for it to be as easy as a mix... and here it is! I make up some for myself to keep in Tupperware containers for a quick to fix treat. A pretty, reusable jar with the mix is a good welcome gift for new neighbors, and I always add the verybestbaking.com web site to the card as an added "gift." This is usually a good conversation starter too, especially if the new neighbor is a baker! I love it!

Brownie in a Jar - Great Gifts!

When you give this as a gift, you see people's eyes light right up! A package of hot cocoa attached is also a nice touch. I received one from my son and I still have it - I want to keep it forever...If you can add the other items in a box so they have ALL the ingredients (egg, etc.), that WOWS 'em too!

YUMMY TREATS FOR KIDS GIFTS

I TRIED OUT RECIPE BEFORE SENDING TO FRIENDS AND THIS WAS GREAT. INSTEAD OF LAYERING I MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER BEFORE PLACING IN JAR. THIS MADE IT EASIER FOR ME AND ALSO EASIER FOR KIDS TO DO THE MIXING AND COOKING.

A welcome gift.

This is a very easy and inexpensive gift for busdrivers, secretaries and such. It is easy to do if you pour slowly. I put a (new) little sock top tied with yarn to look like a hat. It was well received.
