Gourmet = Shortening Taste?
I thought these cookies tasted too much like the 1/2 cup of shortening required in the recipe. If I were to do this again, I think I would reduce that amount.

Wonderful Chocolate Chip Cookies
I've loved chocolate chip cookies and baked them for years. These are the best I've ever come across. They are moist and have a wonderful flavor from the addition of the ground pecans. My grandkids don't normally like nuts in their cookies but they devour these. Will make these again. They don't last long around our house. You won't be disappointed if you try them.
