Ingredients
Nonstick cooking spray
Granulated sugar
1/2 cup
NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
2 tablespoons
butter
1 tablespoon
NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
1
large
egg, separated
1/2 teaspoon
vanilla extract
2 tablespoons
granulated sugar
2
bite-size caramel-filled chocolates
Powdered sugar (optional)
Directions
PREHEAT oven to 400° F. Spray two 6-ounce ramekins or custard cups with nonstick cooking spray; coat lightly with granulated sugar.
MICROWAVE morsels, butter and cocoa in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 45 seconds; STIR. The morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Stir in egg yolk and vanilla extract.
BEAT egg white in small mixer bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in 2 tablespoons granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. Stir one-fourth of egg white mixture into chocolate mixture to lighten. Fold in remaining egg white mixture gently but thoroughly. Spoon into prepared ramekins, filling about 3/4 full. Drop 1 bite-size chocolate into center of each soufflé; press in slightly. Place soufflés on baking sheet.
BAKE on center oven rack for 16 to 20 minutes or until puffed and center still moves slightly. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.

Can't have enough chocolate.
I printed out this recipe last year, and finally got around to making it for New Year's.
When you see "souffle," you automatically think it's a difficult recipe. Of course, when I saw the "Easy" rating, I was a bit surprised. It is indeed a very easy, straightforward recipe.
Needless to say, it's a chocolate lover's delight, and there's plenty of that in this household. I might say it may become a dessert favorite here.
Next time, it'll be a chocolate ganache to top this souffle.

A Real Treasure
I made these tantalizing treats for my fiancee and myself. Neither of use are into chocolate that much, but there won us over. Perfect flavor, not to much. I added a caramel candy to the center of his and some morsels to mind, works equally well. This is definitely a keep. I give this rcp ten stars!!
