Tender slices of apple seasoned with a sprinkling of cinnamon are enriched with cheddar cheese and encased between toasted bread. A great snack to satisfy and energize your body. Or serve with Nestlé Juicy Juice and fresh fruit for a tasty lunch.

Cooking Time: 5 mins

Servings: 4

ingredients
1 package (12 ounces) Classic Dishes Harvest Apples, defrosted*
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 slices cheddar or American cheese, each cut into 4 strips
8 slices white bread, lightly toasted
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

directions
PREHEAT broiler.

COMBINE Harvest Apples and cinnamon in small bowl.

PLACE cheese strips on outside perimeter of 4 slices of bread. Spoon apple mixture evenly into centers of each. Top with remaining slices of bread; press down slightly. Brush sandwiches with butter.

BROIL on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.

*DEFROST Harvest Apples in microwave on MEDIUM (50%) power for 6 to 7 minutes.

YUMM.....

I was out of regular bread, but I did have Cinnamon-Raisin Bread, so I used that and I added some chopped pecans, it was a wonderful dessert. Very rich and filling. I'm going to make this on Christmas Eve when everyone is here, but I'll make it with both breads to see which one is best. Thanks for the recipe.

Terrific Sandwich, I added raisins to mine for an even healthier treat. The Grandchildren thought it was the best lunch I'd ever given them!!

Hi I am 12 years old and this looked Gross but I got my mom to get the stuff and it is really realy good. I have it like everyday now! I totally recommend this for school lunches !!
