Easy & Excellent

I make this pie every year for the holidays and it's probably the most popular dessert available! It's also easy to make!

Great but had to reduce butter

I made two of these pies following the recipe exactly. The first batch was swimming in butter - I'm sure that I did not use more than the recipe specified. I put the pie back in the oven for much longer than recommended in hopes the butter would reduce. Thankfully it did. For the second pie, I reduced the butter by 1/4 cup and the result was much better and did not affect the taste. I may try reducing even more the next time. Either way both pies were very good, no complaints from the folks who grabbed a slice!

best pie in the world!

I love this pie! My family loves this pie, we make it at least once a month. I use different amounts of butter every time and it always turns out yummy and gooey.
