I like the minis
Ellie Kirkland from
Round Rock, TX
My mom made cookies like this growing up but she put a chocolate kiss in the center - I mush prefer the mini morsels! I made these for my husband's co-workers but the general consensus was that they were a little weird, but I think they may just not eat a lot of meringue...I thought they were pretty good but I think I prefer regular cookie dough...

I make these for my younger sister on her birthday & at Christmas. I live in Southern California & she lives in Houston, Texas. These were one of her favorite cookies when she was a child (and still are). She moved to Texas twenty years ago & rarely comes home to visit. It brings back a lot of good, childhood memories for her & she looks forward to getting them twice a year.

Delicious!

These little cookies are so good. They are light and crispy. People think you fussed over making them. Another plus is that they are lower in fat than many cookies with chocolate chips in them. Be sure you bake them on a dry day, otherwise they might turn out sticky.

Sharin Scalzo from

I followed directions for my first batch, but they burned quickly. I tried again and cut baking temp to 250 and baked the cookies for much longer. I turned off the oven and left the cookies in until the oven was totally cool. They turned out nice and crispy and kept very well in an air tight container.

Just made these cookies and they were really good. I thought the 2 cups of mini morsels were a bit too much so next time I'll put 1 1/2 cups. I also plan on trying to add 1/4 cup crushed candy canes for Christmas cookies.

Go raspberry!!!
Linda Doffek from
West Bend, WI
I make these but add a few tablespoons of Raspberry gelatin mix (straight from the box). Gives them a pretty color and chocolate and raspberrry always a good combo. My husband and daughter are nuts about these. Their #1 favorite cookie. I started making them for Christmas and now they want them all year.
-
Flat but Fabulous!
Donna Buckley from
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL
I made these cookies as directed, but mine came out much flatter than pictured. They were also soft in spots and I know they should have been quite crisp. My family LOVED them flat and moist and requested that I make them again, the same way. I don't know what I did wrong, but they were really good!

My family and I were recently invited by a friend to her home for Passover. I wanted to bring something over that that everyone could enjoy. Luckily for me, I found this recipe. Although it did not make the amount stated, it did make about 3 dozen. Everyone in attendance that evening said they were the best meringue cookies they had ever eaten! What a nice honor to get from my friends! I've already been asked to come back to Passover next year and bring the cookies!

I love making these cookies. Easy to make. I put in preheated oven, turn oven off, go to bed, and next morning I have cookies. The mini chips are great in these and I use finely chopped pecans that almost look like meal. Everyone thinks you worked very hard to make these cookies. I try to hang on to this secret.

Excellent Fat Free Treat
Katie Wallin from

I left out the chips and baked them with vanilla and almond extract (1 tsp of each) and they made a delicious fat free treat. If you want to go even further, you could use no-calorie sweetner (such as splenda, sweet-n-low, or nutrasweet and make them virtually calorie-free! A very healthy treat!
