Had to throw sauce away!!
michelle from
Absolutely the worst recipe i have gotten off this site, and i have been very pleased so far. The chicken was fine, but the sauce was horrible. I took other reviewers advice on dipping chicken in sauce, still horrible. I did everything i could think of to make the sauce taste better, but had to through it away. I ended up covering the chicken with BBQ sauce.

This is a good recipe, but for added flavor to the chicken as a suggestion, add a little lemon pepper to the chicken before frying. it gives it a little more kick with the sweet flavor of the sauce.

In college we decided to expand our menu past mac n chez and top ramen. This website has been very helpful on that key. The sauce was a little to sweet one of my roomates dipped and the other opp out of the whole sauce. My stemed Cauliflower with brown butter made the meal. Overall a good meal. Will not make the sauce again.

Chicken with Lime Sauce

I loved it. I thought because of the lime sauce it would have a tarty taste to it, but it was smooth and delicious to my tastebuds. I would recommend this to other people. I would also try this recipe over again.

I opted for chicken thighs instead, because I don't like the dryness of breast meat. I made the sauce first adding garlic, cranberry juice, and chipotle sauce, then diced up the chicken and cooked it in the sauce. While it was cooking, the sauce didn't seem to taste very good, but after the chicken finished & I tried them together, it was pretty good. I'll most likely make it again this way.

This recipe was quick, easy and delicious. I used Chicken Tenders instead of the chicken breast, and Lime Juice from a bottle rather than a fresh squeezed Lime, and it still came out wonderfully. I think you could use this sauce while grilling as well, and it would be tangy and terriffic.

I was looking for something different to prepare and easy enough for my family to help out . I premeasured out the ingredients ahead of time and before you know it we were done and ready for dinner 5/11/2006 . We enjoyed cooking this recipe together. The Lime sauce was the hit over the chicken. Needless to say we all agreed to have it again. Now I can add the recipe to my daliy meal planning.
DEILICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUMMY!!!!!

I made this for dinner and was suprised that it was so quick to make and soooo good! I also sautee'd onions and mushrooms with the chicken, and then placed the chicken back in the sauce and let it simmer for about 5 mins. We served ours over brown rice, and it tasted like I had slaved in the kitchen for hours. I highly reccomend this for an easy yet delicious weeknight dinner!

Big Hit with the Family!

This chicken is so simple, and the result is amazing. My only suggestion to you is to buy 2 limes, 1 for a garnish, and 1 to juice. Nevertheless, when served with rice and fresh green beans, this meal is deliciously simple with an oriental flair!

Saucy!
Kate from

I really enjoyed this sauce. It was simple, had very few ingredients, and was quick. I marinated my chicken and cooked it in a pan with sauteed onions and garlic, then took the chicken out to keep warm and made the sauce with the onions and garlic in it. I substituted the apple juice with Guava juice as I saw someone else tried it that way, and it was delicious! Just treat it like any other sauce and season to taste. It was something different to kick up our chicken, without being too wild for our tastebuds. I will definitely be using this recipe again.

Just use common sense!
Bonnie from
Florida
I have to admit I was nervous as to how this recipe would turn out after reading all the mixed reviews on it. Turns out, as long as you use some common cooking sense, this recipe can be pretty good.
The nice thing about this being cooked on the stove-top is that you can taste as you're cooking and modify as needed. Of course you need to SEASON THE CHICKEN before you cook it. I seasoned mine with salt, pepper, garlic, and lemon juice.
As for the sauce, you definitely have to taste to make sure you like how much lime or apple juice is in it. If it's not thick enough for you... add more corn starch! I didn't have a lime, so I used a lemon & it turned out just fine. When the sauce was ready, I let the chicken simmer in it until the rice & vegetables were finished cooking.
Overall, this chicken was pretty good... just needs a little attention to the cooking part. It has kind of an almost oriental taste to it and therefore TASTES GREAT OVER RICE with the sauce soaked in.
-
Simple and Tasty

I substituted Guava juice for Apple and added some seasoning to the chicken. It was quite good. The lime added a tangy flavor which I liked. I just baked the chicken in the microwave in a covered dish, sliced and applied sauce. It was quick and easy, and requires only a few ingredients. It's worth fixing again.

The dish tasted super but the 8 to 10 minute cooking time is in error. I've made this four times and to cook the chicken to an internal temp of 165 took a lot longer then 8 to 10 minutes. Everyone loved the taste though.

Very Tasty Tangy Chicken
Tencha from
Visalia, CA
I made this dish tonight and was not disappointed. It was sweet and tangy and we wanted more! I did add some dry parsley flakes to the sauce, and a pinch of flour to thicken it. I also put a dash of garlic salt on the chicken, as I had read on some reviews that it may be bland. Overall I was very pleased and will definately be making this again!

Not the best chicken dish
Jamille McClendon from

I'm not too sure why this is #1 but I tried it with the ingredients and prepared it just like it stated. It was very bitter and I had to add more corn starch for a more thicker sauce and more apple juice for a less bitter taste. I would make it again but try to add some other things of my own for a different taste.

This recipe has now taken over any other potato recipe in my house! I always made "standard" twice baked potatoes for holiday meals, which were great, but nothing compared to these. I made these for Christmas dinner and everyone raved! The recipe is very easy and quick, and reheated nicely after making it the night before. My picky eaters and guests, 2 teenage sons and 3 & 6 year old niece and nephew, couldn't stop eating them! My niece now refers to them as "yummies" and wants her mom to make them every night for dinner! You can't go wrong with this recipe!

Dipped in a melted chocolate mixture and decorated with an assortment of toppings, such as crystalized ginger or sweetened dried cherries, these Easy Chocolate-Dipped Ginger Cookies are a tasty way to embrace the holiday season in style.
Ingredients:
Wax or parchment paper
1 1 bar (4 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Dark Chocolate Baking Bar, chopped into small pieces
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
36 gingersnap cookies
2/3 cup finely chopped assorted toppings (such as crystallized ginger, sweetened dried cherries or cranberries and/or pistachios)
Directions:
LINE tray or baking sheets with wax paper.
PLACE chocolate in glass measuring cup and follow instructions on label for melting in microwave oven. Stir in oil.
DIP one side of each cookie about halfway into chocolate mixture; allow excess to flow back into measuring cup. Place on prepared tray; repeat with remaining cookies and chocolate. Sprinkle with chopped assorted toppings.
PLACE dipped cookies in refrigerator for about 20 minutes to set chocolate. Remove from refrigerator and store in airtight container at room temperature (prolonged refrigeration is undesirable as it will cause the cookie to soften).
Cook's Tip: 2/3 cup NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels may be used in place of dark chocolate baking bar.
