Lean pork tenderloin and a delicious herb cream sauce offer a quick, yet mouth-watering meal. Red grapes add a touch of surprising sweetness.
Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1/4 teaspoon ground thyme, crushed
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 to 1 1/2 lb. pork tenderloin, cut into 1/2-inch slices
1 teaspoon olive or vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon all-purpose flour
2/3 cup (5 fl.-oz. can) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
1 cup red seedless grapes, cut in half
Directions:
COMBINE garlic salt, rosemary, thyme and black pepper in small bowl. Sprinkle pork with half of spice mixture.
HEAT oil in large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add pork and cook on each side for 3 minutes or until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet; set aside and keep warm.
REDUCE heat to low. Add flour, evaporated milk and remaining spice mixture to skillet. Stir to loosen brown bits from bottom of skillet. Cook for 3 minutes. Add grapes and cook for an additional minute until thickened.
PLACE pork on serving platter and top with sauce.

I treasure recipes with sweet fruit and meat. The juices from the fruit always enhance the pork in this case. I would add more liquid to the recipe to not dry out the meat! Thanks.

My husband works hard all day, and expects a hearty, delicious meal when he gets home. He usually says I don't work hard enough to prepare a nice meal, what with all of the time I have staying home all day, but for the first time in a long time, he actually did not punch me in the face after taking the first bite! Thanks Carnation!

Kim Rankila from
LAKE NEBAGAMON, WI
this was a very easy recipe to put together...I did the pork in the slow cooker with the carnation sauce for four hours...then set the cooker to warm for four hours....low setting ....then I added the grapes a half hour before we ate...very tendar and very good taste....with work, kids and home work...getting this ready before hand was easier for me.... next time i would most likely add just a bit of water or broth to thin the sauce just a bit...

Very tasty - whole family loved this
Laura Parsons from
MALTA, NY
I found this recipe easy to make and my whole family, including 3 somewhat picky eaters, really loved it. Note: there is an error in the recipe. The total amount of spices does not add up to more than 1 teaspoon, which it should based on the directions. I sprinkled all of the spice mixture on the pork and then just sprinkled a bit more of each spice to the mixture in the skillet.

My husband is allergic to poultry and seafood, so we eat a lot of pork (and beef and pasta) - but mostly lean pork. I was looking for a new spin on our weekly pork tenderloin dinner. This was just the trick! How creative and simple and so very moist and flavorful! This is definitely a keeper!

I made these potatoes the other night to accompany some steaks. What a great side. I actually cooked these on the grill in pan instead of the oven and they turned out perfect! The only thing is you will need some extra time (and charcoal!) to do these properly on the grill, but it's well worth the wait.
