When I make Ambrosia, I use a 16 oz.container of sour cream, 1 can of crushed pineapple drained, 1/2 bag of miniature marshmallos, 1 cup of flaked coconut, and 2 cans of manderin oranges drained. Mix together adding the oranges last so they don't break up. Garnish with maraschino cherries. So easy and great for dessert to bring to someones house on a holiday

Where's the Pudding?
Leanne Carter from
College Station, TX
Tthis was average at best. I should have listened to my family and used a traditional recipe that contains pudding. adds to the thickness. if you don't plan on using it right away, plan on throwing out the rest unless you like eating baby-texture-type food. For those wanting to make this: drain everything real well to reduce the amount of juice (soggy-ness)

This Vegetable Florets with Cheddar Sauce recipe is a great way to trick your family into eating their veggies! Covered in a light and creamy cheese sauce this recipe can’t miss. Try adding garlic powder or other spices to intensify the flavors. Great for weeknight dinners and holiday meals with family.
Ingredients:
2 cups (6 oz.) cauliflower florets
2 cups (6 oz.) broccoli florets
1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon margarine or butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 cup NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
1/2 cup (2 oz.) cheddar cheese, shredded
1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
Directions:
PLACE cauliflower, broccoli and water in large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Drain; remove vegetables from saucepan.
MELT margarine in same saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour. Add evaporated milk; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened. Add cheese; stir until melted. Stir in mushrooms; remove from heat. Stir in cauliflower and broccoli.

I had only one cup of butterscotch morsels so I also used 2/3 C chocolate chips. I didn't have flake cereal so I used rice cereal. I love chocolate more than butterscotch so I thought the two flavors mixed were very good. The cereal pieces were big so I would make smaller drops next time (or use flakes!) but all in all, this recipe was easy to put together and easy to manipulate to fit what is in your pantry :)

I like sweets with lots of flavor, but this one tasted to me like it needed more peanut butter in it. I am just not sure it would set up with more. I added the raisins, but wouldn't next time. They add a greater sweetness to something I felt was already too sweet.

I made these with the youth of my church. It was a great hit and so easy!! We're going to make more to deliver while Christmas caroling. I did make one change: I'm allergic to corn so I used a rice cereal instead.

These are addictive! I substituted 3-1/2 cups of Raisin Bran for the corn flakes & raisins. I brought these to my cousin's house and she LOVED them. She wouldn't let me leave the room until I wrote down the exact recipe! Try it!
