I used one of the package pesto mixes, added a few extra spices (dill, basil) and some lime. Served it with Garlic/dill/cheese french bread. My husband and 2 year old loved it. I keep shrimp in the freezer in case I need to make a quick meal - this is a good recipe to keep on hand.

Great!!!

I did my own version of this. It was great! Good enough for a restaurant. Ive added some green onion to the peper and olives.
Since I didnt had any pesto, I used tomato saus and basilicum. I forgot the wine, but didnt mis it. I didnt had any feta cheese, but added some lemon juice when the pasta was ready. Delicius!

I saw this recipe on your site. It just sounded good and looked easy. My whole family just loved it. I got precooked shrimp from the butcher and it worked out fine. A big green salad with all the vegetables and grilled french bread made the meal complete. Next time more shrimp the family says.

This dish is delicious! My husband loved it; my two kids, ages 3 and 6 loved it too! It tastes even better reheated. It's a great dish to make for company. We couldn't find the sundried tomato pesto in our store, so we chopped up sundried tomatoes and used a basil pesto instead. Really Good! Double the reciped if it's for four, you'll have a good amount of leftovers.

My New Signature Dish!

I needed something to make last night for my inlaws who were coming to dinner and I saw this recipe was featured when I opened my meals.com email. Since it looked so good and got so many good reviews I decided to try it. My husband was worried I was going to make a recipe I hadn't tried yet but it was easy to make and came out perfect. I served it with a Ceasar salad and some crusty bread with an olive/fig spread and everybody loved it. I am planning on serving this menu for my next dinner party as well as putting it on the regular rotation of family dinners.

I made this recipe for my husband on Valentine's Day, and all he could say was awesome. I substituted with regular pesto, all three types of peppers, and no capers. My husband hates vegetables, but he ate every bit of his food. The recipe was very easy, and fast to prepare. I was astonished at how easy it was, and how good it was. I have recomended this to all of my friends. I suggest that everyone try this recipe.

This was really good! Couldn't find the Buitoni Pesto with Sun-Dried Tomatoes so substituted Basil Pesto after reading some reviews. I also threw in some bay scallops with the shrimp and everyone raved over it. If you leave out the shrimp or seafood it makes a great side dish too! This is a definite keeper.

Delicious!
rhoda from

Wow, I was just surfing thru trying to find a main dish to use the homemade pesto I'd created - no sundried tomatoes. I doctored the recipe to serve 12 using 24 oz. shrimp. Deleted the feta thinking the parmesean in the sauce would make it cheezy enough. I roasted and peeled the red pepper and didn't have good olives so skipped that too. Used many more capers than specified. After cooking the shrimp and veggies in wine, I stirred the pesto into that and dumped the whole deal over 2 lb. linguine dishing it out with tongs. Excellent w/a tomatoey green sal., homemade ital. bread, and beets - homemade brownies and van. ice cream for dessert. Everyone loved it! Just read the suggestion about squeezing lemon juice on top and wish I had tried that. One of the best dinners I've ever made.

With prepared pesto, this recipe is a snap to make. It's colorful and delicious. Next time, I'll add more red pepper to boost the vegi aspect of a recipe rich in olive oil and olives. A 5 star if you factor in how quick and easy it was to make.

Inseperable: this dish and Italy
Carla Nolin from

I doubled this for a group of 8. Served it in a large bowl with fresh basil sprigs for garnish. I also used large shrimp. Served with a large green salad dressed with lemon, cracked black pepper and olive oil,two loaves of crusty bread and many bottles of Italian wine - the table looked wonderful! The only thing people talk about durning dinner was the pasta and Italy.

Nancy Kasicki from

after reading the rave reviews I just had to try these however they did not come up to the caliber of rolls that everyone else gave in their reviews. The flavor just wasn't there and the garlic powder was quite fresh. Perhaps fresh garlic would be a suitable substitute. Also if anyone has suggestions on convedrting this from bread machine to the old fashioned kneading and rising method, it would be helpful.
