Wonderful - absolutely wonderful!
Marion Sakowitz from

I decided to make this for dinner tonight after reading the other reviews. I used some of the tips in the reviews and the dish was a huge hit with my husband (whose comment is the review title). I didn't have any apple juice, so I used a combination of 1/2 cup apple butter thinned with 1/8 cup bourbon and water to make 1 1/2 cups total. My chops were a little thicker than 1/2", so I cooked them a bit longer, and they still came out so flavorful and juicy. I will definitely make this again.

this recipe turned out pretty good. i think next time i will doctor it up by using apple cider instead of apple juice and also apple slices and some dried cranberry..

Upgrade Flavor

Good meal but can be updated if you really like apples. Slice a yellow or golden delicous apple into thin slices, sprinkle a "little" cinnamon over apples and cook over top of meat about 10 minutes before serving. A great lift in flavor.

To make this receipe elegant and add extra flavor include the following. 1) add pumpkin spice to the apple juice. 2) Place apple slices and dried cranberries on top on the pork chops while they are simmering. For an adult version I add 1/8 of a cup Bourbon to the apple juice. My family and friends love this receipe. The pork chops come out tender and favorable.

Needs Flavor

This recipe was easy but for me it needed a kick of something.. maybe a dash of cayenne pepper for some spice and a bit of garlic powder would have given it that extra ummmph it needed. It was a bit to bland for my taste.

Yum!!

This dish was excellent! I am not a fan of Apple Juice by any means...never have been and yet I couldn't stay away from this recipe; I am glad I didn't because it was quick, easy, and delicious. I thought for sure I would taste the apple juice and hate it, but I loved it and more immportantly so did the kids and hubby. Definitely something I will make again. It went great with rice and fresh steamed veggies.

I made this last night for our Sunday dinner, my stepdaughter laughed at the thought of me using Juicy Juice Apple Juice as a part of the sauce, but she liked it so much she is actually taking the leftovers for her lunch today! Definitely a KEEPER!

I made these pork chops last night, and they were the best ever. Even my picky 4 year-old ate them. They were so juicy, and all the ingredients were things I already had. Thanks for another great recipe.

I made 3 different recipes for pork chops and this one was my favorite. My sister loved it too. My husband is not crazy about sweet stuff so it wasn't his favorite. It's rare that i eat pork chops MAYBE 1 a year but with this recipe i might make it on a monthly basis.

Juicy Apple Pork Chops
Jeannette from
Schaumburg,IL
I doubled the recipe and used a 1/4 less apple juice so there wouldn't so much liquid left over, and used more onions & used frozen concentrate already had in freezer. It was wonderful aroma in the house, I wasn' sure it would taste good, family absolutely loved it.
Served it with augrain potatoes & salad. This is a real keeper. No more dry pork chops for a family of 7. Thank you.

Best Pork Chops Yet!
Bonnie from
Oviedo, FL
These have to be the best pork chops I've ever tasted! They're not too sweet, have GREAT flavor & are perfectly juicy. There were a few more spices in mine because I bought the pre-seasoned pork chops from Albertsons, but added more salt & pepper. Normally I'm not a big fan of pork chops because they're usually a little dry and tough, but like I can't stop saying, these were perfect!!!

This recipe was tasty, but for me just had too much onion taste in it. I would recommend using a sweeter onion so it is not as powerful.

I love potatoes so tried this. Yummy and easy! I used the evaporated milk but wonder if you could substitute regular milk? Also I mashed the potatoes instead of using a mixer cause my family likes the semi lumpy texture better.

I made this for our Christmas "Friends Potluck". It was a hit.
I used Yukon Gold potatoes, low fat sour cream, pancetta, and added 3/4 cup ( or more) of Pecorino Romano cheese, it really helps to give it that extra special kick, making it a 5 star.

I cut out all that prep work and used instant mashed potatoes. I thought this was tasty but very heavy. I served with meatloaf and it was just too much. This dish has a lot going on in it and it almost seems like you'd have to serve it as a meal on it's own with a salad.
