This sparkling Sangria fruit spritzer is great for entertaining or adding fresh taste to everyday dinners. Try the frozen grape and mint leaf ice cubes to add an extra splash of color and flavor.
Ingredients:
1 orange, washed, halved and cut into thin slices (remove any seeds)
2/3 cup red and/or green grapes, rinsed and cut in half
1/3 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves or sprigs, rinsed
Purified water
3 cups Apple NESTLÉ JUICY JUICE All Natural 100% Juice, chilled
4 to 5 cups calorie-free seltzer water, chilled
Directions:
PLACE orange slices on baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
DIVIDE grape halves and mint leaves or sprigs between two ice cube trays. Fill each tray with purified water and freeze until solid.
POUR Juicy Juice into pitcher; add frozen orange slices, prepared ice cubes and seltzer water. Serve immediately.
NOTE: Omit ice cubes for children under age 4 due to choking risk. Also, try substituting White Grape NESTLÉ JUICY JUICE All Natural 100% Juice.

The kids and I had a great time preparing the Sangria. We are not mint fans so for both recipes we did leave it out. We followed the first reciped to a T except for the mint. The second time we decided to play around and mix and match the fruit. Bot of the recipes were great and we will try them again.

I made two batches, very very easy!! I followed some of the recommendations from others who placed a review. 1. I stired for 3 min once the mixture started the rolling boil, I added 1/2 tsp peppermint extract and crushed the candycanes and folded the crushed into the chocolate instead of on top! this turned out awsome, I have never been able to make fudge just right....

Not really peppermint fans
Linda D Weir from
Regina, SK
My family members are not really fans of peppermint so I had to do some experimenting with this recipe. I decided to test it out on some frineds
Rather than use the peppermint candy canes, I left out the peppermint flavouring and used the blueberry flavoured candy canes I had purchased to hang on the tree. Needless to say the fudge was a big hit. It's a good thing I made two pans because one wouldn't have been enough. There are so many flavours of candy canes on the market now that you could make a different flavour every month. I will definitely keep this recipe handy

Peppermint Fudge - yummm
LAURA YOUNG from
TOLEDO, OH
I did what someone suggested and used 1/2 tsp. of peppermint extract. Also, to easily crush the candy or candy canes, put them in a freezer plastic bag and freeze. I have several recipes for the holidays that call for crushed peppermint, so I have a bag of candy canes in my freezer now, ready to crush when I need them. When ready to make the fudge, take them out and use a rolling pin on them. I find that candy canes crush easier and still have that wonderful candy texture. I can't wait for my granddaughters to come, so they can taste it.

Great, with some suggestions
Dianne Benjamin from
ROCHESTER, MN
I admit it took me a couple of tries to get this recipe right. The fist time I cooked the milk mixture too long and the fudge ended up too stiff. The second time I ended up cooking the milk mixture for only 3 minutes, and the texture turned out perfect. I also used 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract instead of 1/4 tsp. My other suggestion is that when you crush the peppermint candies, mix the "dust" in with the fudge and use the big pieces for the top. This makes for very flavorful, pretty fudge!

Excellent & Easy
Risa Golding from
OXFORD, NJ
I copied the recipe for this fudge off the web a few weeks back and decided to make it today. I omitted the extract as I didn't have any and used 1-1/2 bags of chips. I also doubled the recipe and made 2 pans.
This was extremely easy, very quick to put together and just delicious. This is now my favorite confection to make. It took me no longer than 10 minutes to put it all together, do the simmering and it was the 2 hour wait that was killing me. Easy to clean up too because I made sure to put the pan in the sink, fill it with blistering hot water and let it sit for 1/2 hour before trying to clean it.
Wonderful recipe. A true keeper.
