This cheesecake was wonderful! I used pecans instead of walnuts, and added a bit more butter to the crust and it turned out great. Not sure why the rating is marked as "difficult" because it truly isn't. Maybe just because it's a little time consuming. I plan on making it again for Mother's Day. Great recipe!

This cheesecake is the top of the heap for me, a really smooth, creamy, chocolatey cake. To knock it completely over the top, try a few grated curls of dark chocolate as a garnish...Delicious, and easy to make.

My 12 year old daughter made this for her French class. It was absolutely delicious. Her French teacher was very impressed that she could make this and gave her many compliments. I found that she needed little assistance from me for this challenging recipe! She's a good cook, and a little patience - along with great enthusiasm for cooking - go a long way.

This was a pretty good cheesecake, except it could have had a bit more chocolate flavor. It just was like it just didn't have enough chocolate in there. Anyway my husband and son both loved it. (They like cheesecake in any form they just love chee**se**cake!)

Pretty Good
laurence pallez from
NAPERVILLE, IL
This was a pretty good recipe, but it could be a little more chocolaty... Plus, you loose a little bit of the cheesecake texture because of the heavy cream, I think. I brought it at the office, and it was all gone by the end of the day... As rich as it was, I guess that was still pretty good!
