  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 1/4 cup masa flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 to 1 1/2 tablets (90 g each) NESTLÉ ABUELITA Authentic Mexican Hot Chocolate Drink

PLACE hot water and masa flour in large saucepan; mix until smooth. Add milk and Abuelita chocolate. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until boiling. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring constantly, for 1 to 3 minutes or until thickened to desired consistency. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately.

SUGGESTIONS: Anise and/or cloves can also be added to mixture if desired and then removed before serving. The mixture can be strained through a fine sieve before serving if a smoother Champurrado is desired.

?'d it! Doubled the portion...added cinnamon sticks to water as it boiled to add more cinnamon flavor. My kids enjoyed it a lot. So easy to make.
