"Angry" Italian Bean Spread

Ingredients

1/4 cup packed Italian parsley leaves
2 cloves garlic, peeled
2 cans (15 ounces each) red beans, rinsed and drained
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3/4 cup BUITONI Refrigerated Marinara Sauce
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Crackers or grilled bread

 

Directions

COMBINE parsley and garlic in food processor; process for 30 seconds. Add beans, salt and pepper; process for 1 minute. Scrape down sides of bowl; process for 30 seconds. With processor running, add sauce and oil. Process for 30 seconds or until smooth.

SERVE with crackers or grilled bread.

Tip: Serve the remaining Arrabbiata sauce as a spicy dip for breadsticks.
