Apple Cinnamon Pecan Pie

I'm trying to incorporate more fruit and less chocolate into my son's desserts and this one was well worth keeping. He usually won't sit down and eat fruit so I have to find more creative ways to get them into his diet. When I made this one he said he loved it so I know I can make it again. Success!

    Jan Wilkins from BLYTHEVILLE, AR

I guess I thought this was going to be more like a pie, but this was good. I ended up bringing the "bars" to work instead of taking the "pie" to our church dinner! Still Delicious however you slice it!

Apples, Cinnamon, Pecans and a Blizzard

    Eileen Dunne from EDISON, NJ

We were in the middle of the Blizzard of 2005--my family was digging us out. They needed a warm treat when they came in from the cold. The smell of apples, cinnamon and pecans baking in my kitchen made for an ideal setting for staying in on a cold winter's night. This recipe hit the spot when served with hot cocoa in front of a crackling fire. Thank you.

    Fruit is Better

    dorothy holmes from hickory, KY

My nephew who is ADD gets a little on the rowdy side when he eats sweets so I tried this thinking honestly that the kids wouldnt touch it because it had fruit in it and not chocolate but my nephew absoulutely loved it and I was amazed, however I can't say that for all of the kids but then again you just cant make everyone happy at once.
