Review This Recipe
Perfect for Spice Cake
I put this on top of a spice cake and it was delightful. The previous reviewer put it on chocolate cake - which I think might have been a poor choice, the frosting recipe itself is great, but it will only pair well with either spice type cakes like spice, cinnamon, apple, carrot or zuchinni cakes. I might also consider putting it on a not too sweet coffee cake in lieu of streusel topping but it might be a touch too gooey for that. Anyway, yum!
Apple Cheese Icing
This recipe was terrible. My daughter wouldn't eat her birthday cake. Don't put this icing on chocolate cake, that's one thing I should tell you.
This recipe was terrible. The apples need to be chopped up much smaller and the taste is lacking something- but I can't figure out what it is. It was awful on a chocoalte cake- and I don't see how it could be better on any other cake. I would not recommend this icing- the taste is not pleasing at all.
Apple Cream Cheese Icing
This wasn't all that bad. Something diffent for a change. I think thou it could use a little all spice and to chop the apples up good thou. But all in all not bad.
Not so good
This did not taste very good at all. If you want to try this recipe, don't put it on chocolate cake. Luckily, I had another cake for back-up.
