I believe this is the best birthday cake I've ever made myself. My husband who does not like chocolate very much loved it. I made my own cream cheese frosting for the middle and it was soo good! I may have to make this cake for some other occassions. What a perfect cake!

This cake is moist and delicious. It is not difficult; it just takes some time to prepare. Forget the section of the recipe that suggests refrigerating the leftover cake -there are no leftovers.

    Amazing!

SARAH MATTINGLY from ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL

I made this cake last night and my husband and I shared it with some friends. And I have to say that it was absolutely divine! The combination of bananas and chocolate is to die for. The only thing that I would change is to not add the chocolate chips in the cake - I only say that because I don't care for the texture of whole chips in my cake. However, one of my friends thought that was the best part. Thank you for a great recipe!

Not only does this cake taste divine, it combines the convenience of box mixes with the ease of embellishing them with on-hand ingredients. Even better, the marriage of bananas and chocolate melds two foods that belong together -- especially with the mounting evidence that chocolate really is good for you.
