I'm really looking forward to Saint Patrick's Day with these very easy cookies for the kids. My daughter-in-law is making them with her Girl Scout Troop. The squeals from the girls was just as exciting as seeing the look on the parents faces when they came to pick them up. Thanks for such great ideas not only for me the Grandma, but the next generation, and next generation of bakers, theese young ladies with green sugar on their hands, and The Girl Scout Symbol over their hearts. Oh yes I still had to buy the ever famous Girl Scout Cookies from their troop, but it was much better and fun baking our own!

    Big Shamrock Cookie

Valoriea Loresch from CLEAR LAKE, WI

This recipe was fun and fairly easy to make, it looked nice on the table. It was a bit difficult to move from the counter to the pan and out of the pan to the plate. I suggest rolling it out on the pan lined with baking paper, it would then be easy to slide off the paper to the plate. It does take two people to move it around.

My 3 1/2 yr old and I love to make cookies! This one was very easy and fun. She loved helping me roll out the cookie dough and make the shamrock shapes. We even used some powdered sugar on the dough so it didn't stick to the rolling pin. The frosting was alot of fun and her favorite part as with most kids. Great for her class snack!
