PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease baking sheets.

COMBINE flour and baking powder in small bowl. Microwave 3/4 cup morsels in large, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until smooth. Stir in brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Add flour mixture, mixing until combined. Stir in remaining morsels, sweetened dried cranberries and pecans. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets.

BAKE for 12 minutes or until cookies are puffed and set to the touch. For a firmer cookie, bake for 14 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Sinfully Delicious!!!

Well, I hate nuts, so I omitted them and let me say it was just fabulous!!! My husband is on his third cookie and licking his fingers as we speak! I didn't change anything else about the recipe. It was easy and bake time is quick! THANKS!

Very rich and satisfying!

Although I used dried cherries instead of the cherry-flavored Craisins, this cookie got rave reviews from my family! I enjoy baking cookies for friends and family, so I baked a batch of these for my retired Mother-in-law and her friends to enjoy on a trip. They were much-appreciated. My husband and I also enjoyed them very much! Next time I bake these, I will use the nuts; I had to leave them out this time because of dietary concerns for my friends.

Black Forest Cookies are the BEST!!

Just made a double batch this morning and they are scrumptous. Plan to take some of them to our church brunch on Sunday and also on our day trip tomorrow. But I have saved a few in the freezer for later snacking!!! They are SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD! Definitely a keeper.

This was the best "new" cookie recipe I have tried. The cookies were very moist. I used dried cherries as well as dried cranberries. The flavors complemented each other. They were delicious.

Great Cookies!

This recipe is very easy and the cookies come out terrific. I have used it for several occasions and the got great reviews each time. Each time I have made the recipe I have ended up with 2 1/2 dozen cookies, just as the recipe states, - so if you need more/less I suggest altering the recipe.
