    great garlic flavor

    cheryl s. from MISSION, BC

These rolls turned out very moist and to me just the right amount of garlic, but we love garlic flavor. I used whole wheat flour and they still had a light texture. Great with pasta dinner for dipping in sauce.

    Long Ago

    BEV POWELL from GULFPORT, MS

Many years ago, before bread machines, I had a similar bread recipe and made it at least twice a week. During all the moves a military family makes, I lost my recipe, so I started buying bread. Now many years later I am very excited to find it,again, and make them for Thanksgiving dinner. I can hear my guests now....MMMMMMMMMMMM!

    karen thomas from CHUGIAK, AK

With my busy schedule, this recipe was unnecessarily fussy. I added twice the garlic, used reg. flour(1/4 less)and totally skipped the egg wash at the end. They were soft and delicious and they were still good the next day too!

    I must've done something incorrectly...

    Nancy Kasicki from WELLINGTON, OH

after reading the rave reviews I just had to try these however they did not come up to the caliber of rolls that everyone else gave in their reviews. The flavor just wasn't there and the garlic powder was quite fresh. Perhaps fresh garlic would be a suitable substitute. Also if anyone has suggestions on convedrting this from bread machine to the old fashioned kneading and rising method, it would be helpful.

    Stephanie Lewis from MONTROSE, WV

These rolls are definitely a crowd pleaser. My dinner guests couldn't believe they were "homemade". I exchanged half of the bread flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier version. Not only were my guests eating a quality product but they were getting whole grains and fiber in every bite.

    Garlic Dinner Rolls

Alison Kraykovic from IDAHO FALLS, ID

These rolls were very easy to make. They were soft and had a good texture. I could barely notice the garlic in them. I added grated parmesan cheese to the tops of mine after brushing them with the egg. I think that next time I'm going to try adding a little more garlic. Overall, I was very pleased with them, and my family enjoyed them, too.

I was looking for a yeast recipe to enter in our county fair this year and found this one. I got first for dinner rolls and raves from my garlic loving family members. If you are making these for people with less tolerance for garlic, it might be a good idea to cut the garlic powder in half. Very easy to make!

    Great with stews
