    Too much sodium

When are companies going to wake up and cut the salt? It's killing people! Use NO sodium boullon. Yummy soup otherwise.

    Delicious, Rich Soup

Marietje Hauprich from Ballston Spa, NY

This was a fantastic soup! I'm not that into cheese and broccoli soups, but my family is so I gave this a shot, and they all loved it! To the person who said there was only 1/2 cup of wet ingredients....I think you forgot about the 3 cans of broth!

    Only one problem

    Barbara from

The soup taste great and the time to prepare it is wonderful. My only "dislike" is mixing 2 cups of dry goods, the milk and flour, with only 1/2 cup of liquid. Almost impossible to moisten all the dry goods. Then when you drop the mound into the pot it clumps. Any suggestions? Is their an error in the amounts?

This is so easy to make and yummy, too. Add-ins are good, too. Different shredded cheeses, or green onions, or a dollop of sour cream as garnishes.

    Good Soup

    Deborah Byram from PATTERSON, CA

I check out different broccoli cheese soup recipes as this is one of my favorite soups. This one is good. My preference would be not to have to use dry milk. I plan to try it again using real milk. But the original recipe is still very nice.

One of the best soup recipes I have made and very easy. I use a little extra cheese and only blended half of the soup to leave a lumpy texture. No complaints from any family members. Thanks for a great recipe.

Very good soup. I am a broccoli lover and am always looking for different broccoli recipes. I did add a little more cheese to this recipe as I liked a more cheese flavor in the soup. Would recommend this soup to anyone.

    Missing something

JOY MAPLES from Land O Lakes

We thought the soup was good but seemed to be missing something - probably butter which would make it not as healthy and low-fat. This is a great way to use up some of that big sack of broccoli we bought at a wholesale club.

    Very yummy

    Christy from Snohomish, WA

This soup was great. It reminded me of a split pea, but with broccoli insead of peas. My husband loved it. I couldn't really taste the cheese that I added, so I wouldn't call it broccoli cheese soup, but broccoli soup. It created more dishes than I would have liked, but the soup was very good and it made good left overs. I would definitely make it again.

    SIRI BOWMAN from DOYLESTOWN, PA

I just made this while I was stuck inside in a snow storm in PA. However, I like to make things without having to go grocery shopping. I decided to try this because I recently got a bread machine for Christmas and happened to have the dry milk in my pantry from a previous recipe I had made with my bread machine.

I love cheese soups, am especially fond of broccoli so this is ideal soup for me. Also think that you could get kids to eat also as the cheese take away the taste of the broccoli somewhat. Anything that can be done to get kids to eat veggies is a good idea.
