This recipe's "hands-on" preparation is a thrill for kids and results in a sweet and chewy combination of chopped Butterfinger, crunchy popcorn and miniature marshmallows.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups popped popcorn
  • 36 pieces NESTLÉ BUTTERFINGER BITES Candy, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • Nonstick cooking spray

COMBINE popcorn and chopped Butterfinger in large bowl.

MELT butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in marshmallows. Heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth.

POUR over popcorn mixture; quickly toss to coat well. Coat ice cream or cookie scoop with nonstick cooking spray. Scoop popcorn mixture into 25 (1 1/2-inch) balls. Place on wax paper to cool. Wrap in decorative bags or store in airtight container.

Fun with kids!

I wanted a popcorn reciped that I could make with the children I work with for a movie day. The kids helped me make the popcorn balls and the only thing we had to change was that we did it in the microwave, rather than on the stove top. It turned out great and the kids ate it up!

Tried to make these easy popcorn balls. Very easy, smelled realy good while making them. Stored them over night, ten hours, the popcorn was soggy. Still had that tempting aroma. Would not dare take them to the halloween party. Had to dispose of them. Sorry...
