I did not see this recipe in time to have it for Thanksgiving but I will have it tomorrow night for a side dish for my and my hubby's supper. I can hardly wait. It sounds wonderful.

    Yummy!

I pre cooked the bacon first in the micro.. this cuts back on the fat and cooking time.. We like our Asparagus with a snap to it.. Other than that.. followed the recipe to the T... It was a hit with Hubby! Will be doing again..

    EXCELLENT!!!

    Angel from Delaware

This is the easiest, and yet, most appealing side dish. The flavors blend wonderfully. Exceptionally easy and yet you could proudly serve with company. You've got to try it. This is now a returning side dish in my home. My husband loves it!

    Asparagus

I tried these for the first time and we all enjoyed them. But next time I do cook them, I'll put them in a drip pan so the asparagus won't sit in the bacon fat.

    Wonderfull!!!

    Karen Whitney from

This was very easy to make and was excellent! I've never fixed Asparagus before but, was able to make this and it was great with lots of flavor. We'll fix it again and soon. The only thing that I did different from the recipe is I used 12 spears instead of 4 (my spears were really small) and I brushed on some olive oil before baking. What a great dish!! The other thing that I did was to make the Welsh Rarebit from scratch. I used 2 Tbls of butter, 4 oz of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup beer (Coors Light), salt & pepper to taste. It was good too.
