Chewy Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies

 Star(s)

Melissa Baumgardner from NEW PARIS, OH

I have tried this recipe 2 ways: with cake flour and with all purpose flour. What a difference the cake flour makes! The cookies taste wonderful either way, but the cake flour makes them chewy whereas the all purpose flour produced a more cripy cookie.

    ABSOLUTE BEST of the BEST.

    Michelle H. from

Oh my goodness. I made these the other day. And boy, they were soooo easy to make, and it came out HUGE. They are way better than store bought. No joke. I usually spend $5 on a box, but now, I can make it myself. One was enough to fill me up. I brought some to school, and all my friends wanted some. Definitely a keeper. Will be making more sooon.

    Betterest chocolate chip cookie ever

Bilbo Baggins from , Wendell, ID

The best chocolate chip cookie I've had the fun and pleasure to make and eat. Only one problem: Took some to work to share. Now if I don't bring some at least once a week, I'm in trouble.

    Truly Jumbo

Elodie Pruneau Bergeron from Montréal, PQ

These cookies are sooooo big that only one is enough to satisfy a sugar craving. I usually eat 5-6 regular size chocochips cookies before I feel full, but with this recipe, I had difficulties to finish one cookie. Also, if you have a small mixing bowl, it is probably best to split the recipe in two, otherwise the ingredients might spill over...

    Best Chocolate Chip Cookie EVER

    Wendy Hallett from Jasper, MI

I stumbled upon this when I was trying to dupe a gourmet choc-chip cookie I saw on TV. THIS IS IT!! It is now our favorite cookie of all time. I made a few minor changes...instead of 2 c. chips I added 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 c. special dark chocolate chips, added: 1/2 c. chopped walnuts and 1/2 c. chopped pecans (both toasted). My husband asked me to bake HUGE cookies for poker night so I dropped by 1/2 c. and baked a little longer. They were monster sized and YUMMY DELICIOUS!

    Terrific!

    Becky Byers from Butler, PA

These are, by far, the best chocolate chip cookies ever! My husband is a very picky eater even when it comes to cookies, but he absolutely loves these! He has taken them to work to share with his employees, and they all give this recipe a "thumbs up".

The best I have came across

    Debbie Walker from Ottawa, ON

I loved these cookies, crisp on outside chewy in the middle. Still tasted great the next day. I shared these with co-workers and I was told that I make kick-butt cookies! I overbaked my first batch because I waited for the golden brown. As soon as you see a slight gold brown at the bottom edge of the cookie pull them out.

  • Star(s)

    yummy!

Julia Darian from LOS ANGELES, CA

These cookies were delicious. Very soft and chewy....especially when it's right out of the oven! Their texture is still soft and chewy if you'd like to keep them for the following day. The only thing I would change about this recipe is the butter amount...it was a bit too oily when held warm.

  • Star(s)

    delicious!

KAREN FRIES from FORT WAYNE, IN

These cookies are deliciously chewy and quick to make. I added about 1 1/2 c. broken pecans and abt. 1c. dried cranberry/blueberry/cherry mix - better than a commercial bakery cookie!

They are what the name is and delicious. When you bite into them especially warm you taste the warm melted chocolate and the chewy warm cookies. Cookies don't get much bigger or better.

Best Chewey Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies!

LD Robinson from OVERLAND PARK, KS

In all the years I've made chocolate chip cookies, this recipe is the fastest, easiest, and tastiest EVER. After I mixed the flour mixture with the butter mixture, the consisitency was too crumbly (I didn't let the butter soften enough). So I added a little evaporated milk and this took care of the problem. Will use this recipe all the time!

    Wonderful!

    JULIA FAULKNER from Newnan, GA

Yes, I know these cookies are jumbo and probably have a few more calories than the average cookie, but it is worth saving up a few extra calories to enjoy these wonderful things! My mom and I made these at Christmas using red and green swirl morsels. What a great Christmas treat!

    Better than the bakery

    Julie A from Tallmadge, OH

"These are better than the bakery" was the comment I got when taking these to the Ohio - Pittsburg football game. Even though the game didn't turn out in our favor, the cookies were a hit. FYI - I added a pinch of salt (about an 1/8 t.) Very soft and chewy and my 8 year old son LOVED them. Everyone loved the huge size of the cookies - perfect for sharing.

I pulled this recipe with the express intention of making them into ice cream sandwiches. The cookies were easy to make and oh so good (we had to sample a few before assembly). Add ice cream and you have a winner. I love soft cookies. I can't wait for another excuse to make these again!

    SO soft!

    Callie Fuller from Alpharetta, GA

These cookies came out so soft and big and fluffy and the recipe made just the right amount of dough for 24 cookies! The only thing i think it might have needed is a little salt but otherwise they were absolutely fantastic!

    Just What I Wanted

    MARY ALLISON from YORK, PA

This is the recipe I have been searching for! I wanted a chocolate chip cookie that tasted like the ones sold at Hersheypark. This is it! I used 1/4c. dark brown sugar and 1c. light brown sugar instead of all light brown sugar for added moistness. I also added 1c. pecans. I can't wait to take them to Chicago to my grandson.

    Chocolate Chip Heaven

    Jill Provenzano from TULSA, OK

I've made many chocolate chip cookie recipes, but this is by far the best. With other recipes, the cookies come out flat, but these puff up nicely and stay that way after cooling. I don't always make them jumbo and they still turn out perfect. If you like a chewy chocolate chip cookie, this is a great recipe to have in your collection.

    The Best Jumbo Cookie Ever!!!!

    Julie Murry from MARIETTA, GA

I was a little hesitant about trying another cookie recipe however I was thrilled with the final results. I cookie was soft and buttery and amazingly adaptable. I made the jumbo cookies just as the recipe suggested. I also made the cookies in the more traditional size. Both cookies were excellent, however the smaller version was a little more crisp than the larger version. Try this recipe if you want an alternative to the Toll house cookie. Great job Nestle!!!!!!

These cookies are soooo good. Both my husband and I love big chewy chocolate chip cookies and these definately are a favorite at our house. When I am making them for smaller hands (nieces and nephews), I cut the quarter cup of dough in half and shorten the baking time just a bit. The kids love them too!
