    Andi McKinsey from Romeoville, IL

I've made spirals before and they have always gone over well, until this recipe. Everyone loved them and asked where I got the recipe from. I doubled the recipe, added taco seasoning, and used whole wheat reduced fat tortillas. I also brought along fat free sour cream and salsa. I will definitely make again.

Delicious and very easy to make. I made this appetizer for my company's Fiesta party and they were gone the minute I put them on the table. Lot of people asked me for the recipe. I can't believe that this was so easy to make. I have never made any dish so fast. My husband loved it too. I am definitely going to make this again.

    Party PERFECT

    Rachel Niles from Mass.

This is the best recipe for parties. I have made them for several different parties, and it never fails that someone wants the recipe. But, I think that if you're thinking of making them, to make a little more than you expect to be eaten. I've run out on several occasions, much to the dismay of others. This recipe is so easy and wonderful, not to mention that it doesn't put a dent in the wallet, but it tastes like it does. YUM!

    Very poor recipe

    Julie Qidwai from Coralville, IA

This recipe can never have gone through a test kitchen. I follwed the recipe very carefully because it was the first time I had made it. The filling for the spirals was soupy (i.e., it squirted out the sides of the tortillas pretty easily). Also, there is no way you can fit a 1/2 cup of the stuff into a soft taco-sized tortilla shell. Therefore, you end up with about twice the amount of filling you need, and what can you do with that? It's too rich even to serve on crackers or chips; I tried. I was very unimpressed with this recipe.

    Surprisingly good!

    Carrie from California

I made these as a quick make ahead appetizer for the family get together. I was surprised how fast they disappeared! Everybody loved them. They were easy to make - I will definitely make them again. The salsa was a nice addition, but not really necessary. The green chiles added a little flavor, but didn't make them too spicy. Great choice!

    Very Easy & Tasty Too!

    Johnny & Yvette from

These are so easy to make & great for potlucks or bringing to a gathering as a snack. We left out the olives since we don't like them. I liked the overall taste, but the raw peppers made it crunchy, which seemed odd. I also don't think you need the salsa to dip them with, but maybe you could add salsa in the mix?

    Stupendous? Not really.....

    Sarari Bakudan from

I've tried eating a few of these just this afternoon and I can't say that they were delicious exactly... They were more mediocre than anything else. I tasted more cream cheese which really mellowed out the allover taste. I'm not too big of a fan of olives, however I tried both the spirals with and without olives and found the taste to be moderately the same. All in all the "Chile and Cheese Spirals" were mundane, bland, and only for those who enjoy that type of cooking.

    Very Tasty!

    Susie White from Jackson, NJ

I made these for an adult Halloween party and everyone loved them! They are incredibly easy to make! I don't think you'll need to dip them in salsa...they are plenty tasty on their own!

    Easy and a Crowd pleaser!

    Danielle from Orlando, Fl.

This recipe is so simple and everyone loves these. You could pretty much put anything you want in them! You can also make them a day in advance. After you roll them up, wrap them in saran wrap. Let them sit in the fridge over night and slice them when you aready for them. That will free you up for other recipes that you can't do ahead of time! Excellent!

    Soooo easy!

    ToriAnne31 from Canyon Lake, Texas

This recipe is SOOO easy to make!! I took this recipe to a party recently (I made it as an emegcency standby when a "no fail appetizer recipe FAILED) where it was a HUGE hit. I doubled the recipe and made a lot more appetizers and NOT ONE was left. The only thing I changed was I omitted the red pepper and used half a white onion instead of the green onion because they are ingredients that I had on hand. These appetizers are not only easy to make and taste great, but they also make a nice presentation arranged on a platter with the salsa in a bowl in the center for dipping. Every one thinks I'm a culinary genius now!! THANKS A MILLION!

My friend served something like this at a barbeque

    Amy from Manhattan, Ks

Hi again! I thought that I would try these at a family barbeque. My relatives really enjoyed these. I normally do not eat chilies, but this recipe is definitely a winner. I remember tasting a similar type of wrap at a recent barbeque and thought that I would try this. It tastes very similar to my friends and I will definitely take this to future potlucks and barbeques:)! Thanks my-meals.com:)!

These are great, and very easy to make! Every time a family party or work party gets planned, there are always a number of people asking me to bring these!!! I can't keep the plates full - they go so quickly! I recommend these to anyone who wants to impress a crowd, even if your not a "master chef"!

    Try them fried

    Alicea McNevin from Mpls, MN

I make a similar recipe in which I add about 1/2 the ingredients to each flour tortilla. After rolling the tortilla, I fry them in olive oil until browned on both sides, let them sit for a few minutes, then cut into pieces and serve with salsa to dip them in. My family loves these for football munchies.

This was the surprise hit of the night. I made them without the onion or chiles so I thought they were kind of boring; but, the plate was wiped clean.

These were very tasty but watch out on the green onion. I put a little too much in and it can be powerful. Otherwise great!
