I think waffles like these are wonderful, you can make a double batch and what they don't eat, put in the freezer. When you are ready to have them again, get them out and pop them in the toaster. I like them better when re-heated in the toaster, they are more crunchy and very tasty!!

    CAROLE SHAW from NEWPORT, NH

THIS IS SO YUMMY AND DELICIOUS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO PUT MAPLE SYRUP ON IT. THEY'RE JUST AS GOOD ALL BY THEMSELVES. YOU CAN EAT THEM FOR DESSERT OR SNACK. IF YOU FREEZE THEM, THEN YOU CAN HAVE THEM WHEN YOU WANT THEM. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REHEAT THEM IN THE MICROWAVE, TOASTER OVEN, OR EVEN THE TOASTER AND WILL TASTE AS GOOD AS WHEN YOU FIRST MADE THEM FRESH.

These are absolutely easy and delicious. The only thing is that they could have been even more chocolate-y (that was my husband's opinion). I would make these again but maybe top them with some chocolate syrup and some chopped nuts.

    Just an Additional Idea

    Nancy Hill from Oroville, WA

My usual Waffle recipe calls for the eggs to be seperated & the whites beat to stiff peaks. I found that idea makes these very good Chocolate Waffles even better by being light & fluffy as well as CHOCOLATE.

    Not sweet enough

    Frenchi Jones from CORSICANA, TX

This recipe was ok, but not great. It was not sweet enough for my family's taste. We tried it plain, with butter and syrup, with powdered sugar, and with strawberries and whipped cream. The kids were not crazy about it. Next time, I will add more sugar to the batter and try different toppings to see if we like it any better.

These were very easy to make and my family just loved them. My grandchildren especially loved them, they are their new favorite. It used to be mickey mouse pancakes with chocolate chips on the pancake for the facial features. They have switched and it is also a lot easier to make than the pancakes. This will definitely be a new sunday breakfast request around our house.
