    Childhood summer memories!

    Tiffany Preble from Batavia, OH

My Aunt use to make these when I'd come to visit her in the summer and my sister and I would clamor for her to make more to send home with us. Perfect for any age group, and easy to make with the kids. Tastes great with a slight crisp, but soft to chew.

  • Star(s)

    A WINNER!!!!

Diane McRae from DETROIT LAKES, MN

I absolutley love these bars. When I make them I increase the sugar, syrup, and peanut butter to 1 1/4 Cup each and decrease the crispie rice cereal to 5 cups. Each year our county fair has a special baking day and one year it was these bars. My sister and I each entered, she used crunchy peanut butter and I use smooth. The judges couldn't decide which was the best so we both won 1st place.

  • Star(s)

    Good Stuff!!

    payne monroe from hagerstown, MD

These are very good but they are very rich so if you arent a "sweet" person maybe add a bit more peanut butter to even out the sweet in the butterscotch and the chocolate.

When I was 15 yrs old I saw this recipe on the back of Nestle chocolate chips bag. It seemed easy to make and it was. I made these bars every chance I got. As the years went on I forgot about them until I had my own kids. I made them and they enjoyed them so much they were still hot when we ate them. The whole pan was gone in about a day and a half. Fast easy recipe I recommend it to anyone who like chocolate and peanut butter.
