I made these bars to donate to our college's PBL student organization. They held a bake sale to raise money to go to competition. I was told that the bars were SOLD OUT by 10:00 am - and the sale didn't start until after 8. Everybody was asking for "those ooey, gooey, yummy bar things."

    Delicious!!!

    Sandra Clements from JACKSON, MO

This was a fast and easy treat. I do usually use homemade chocolate chip cookie dough, even though it takes a bit longer - just like the taste of it better. You can also use sugar cookie dough. The different nuts are delicious too. My kids love these, they don't last long.

My husband and I are retired, this recipe is great for us, makes enough for two people and to share with neighbors who drop in for coffee. My friend wanted the recipe. But the day I made them my grandson was here, he said it all when he said, grandma, these cookies are "to die for," I guess that is an expression the young ones use today to say that, "these cookies are sooo good.
