The first time I made these 2 years ago, it was hard to keep myself from eating all of them! They are at the top of my long list of great cookies!

I like reading the other comments also. It gives me other ideas like using pumpkin pie spice instead of the cinnamon. I did 2 batches one with cinnamon the other with pumpkin pie spice. They both were great. I will make this again.

I made these for my school's holiday gathering; very elegant, and delicious. I plan to add freshly grated nutmeg the next time, which will be soon, as I do a lot of baking for the holidays for gift giving!

I made this recipe yesterday for our dessert and found the bars to be quite tasty. My only complaint was that the cookie layer was too crumbly and should have been more moist. Did anyone else encounter this same problem? I'd be interested in how they correct the recipe since overall it was quite good.

    delicious

I made these bars for my family for Thanksgiving this year. Even though everyone was stuffed from so much turkey they all surprisingly had enough room for seconds of this dessert.

Very tasty. I liked the softness of the chocolate layer contrasted with the crunch of the crust. After reading a rating that suggested using more cinnamon, I increased the amount to 1 teaspoon, and thought that amount was just right.

They tasted good but I then made a change to the recipe. It may sound weird but I substituted pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon which I liked even more.

Very easy recipe but a bit to much cinnamon. I will however make them again. My kids really liked them.

    Very Rich

GAYLE HOFFMAN from PARK CITY, MT

These bars were very good, but a little rich for me. Maybe it was because I used Sirled Morsels (chocolate & caramel) by accident! My family isn't much for chocolate, but I will make these again for my friends.

    Tasty!

    Gina Bosco from Burley, ID

Very good recipe! I use only whole wheat/white flour blend or whole wheat pastry flour when baking. The crust was a little dry which I imagine was due to the flour combo I used, so I added 1/4 cup egg substitute and it seemed to make it much easier to work with. I also doubled the cinnamon after reading other reviews but the cinnamon flavor was still mild. Not bad, though.

There are a lot of other desserts I would rather eat than these bars. First of all, there is not enough cinnamon in the recipe so that should be increased. I prefer Pan Brownies or any other brownie. I found them to be just okay. However, there are plenty of other recipes that I like.

These are real simple to make. I did add more cinnamon to the recipe. My son loved having them for an after school snack.

    Not a blend for me

    Laurie Bridges from Mesa, AZ

While I only gave this a 2 as is, I liked it A LOT without the cinnamon in the crust. I'm apparently not fond of cinnamon with my chocolate. It was easy though and fun. Just change the name to Chocolate Nut Bars and leave out the cinnamon and I'm there!

    They were good

Jessica Laney from SAINT JOHNS, MI

It was an easy recipe, and it did taste good, but I would add a little more cinnamon. Since the title does say: Choc. Cinnamon bars, but I couldn't taste much of the cinnamon. But they were good.
