This pie has a delicious flavor, but it is entirely too sweet for my liking. It was so rich it made my tongue tingle after a few bites. My children loved it.

This is a crowd pleaser! Very rich and oh, so good. I did try to "lighten it up" using fat free sweetened condensed milk. It tasted good but the filling did not stand up like it does using regular sweetened condensed milk. I did use a reduced fat graham cracker crust though.

This a great dessert because it's so easy to put together yet tastes so good. Served it to friends and they all loved it although we noted a small slice goes a long way-which is probably for the best anyway.

I have to admit that me, the absolute chocoholic, cherry lover could eat only a small piece of this delicious, but very heavy pie. Good to make into a square pan and cut into small bites for a table at shower, party, etc. Easy also.

    Chocolate Covered Cherry Pie/Tarts

Paula LEOTTA from MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA

This recipe is easy to prepare and quite tasty. I did find it a bit messy to serve. I decided I could improve on the serveability of this pie plus make it a take-along dish by using my individual mini tart pan. I just rolled the dough out and used an inverted glass to cut circles of dough. I then used a scissor to cut the cherries into pieces (which fit the mini tart pan more easily). Since Cherry Pie is always part of our Thanksgiving celebration I plan to make the Chocolate Covered Cherry Pie/Tarts for the dessert table. This is a great variation of a traditonal item.
