    More like a brownie

sara bennett from Bay City, MI

This did not turn out as I imagined it would and mine crumbled a lot and easily! The taste was great but it was more like a brownie than a cake which is fine because I love brownies. I would make this again but I would add walnuts to it! I'm wondering if I over-baked it and that's why it crumbled. I only have dark cake pans... next time I will cut the bake time a bit and see what happens.

I made this for my family one night. I saw the receipe on the back of the semi sweet morsels bag and well it was a hit. I have them begging for more. Thank you I will be making this often.

    A Must-Try!

    Kristie O'Keefe from LAMBERTVILLE, NJ

I made this for Thanksgiving and it was delicious (and easy to make). I wish it was more presentable: the top layer cracked on mine and it looked dry, although it wasn't. For an even tastier treat, put your slice in the microwave for 10 seconds... AMAZING!

This is one of my favorites! It's light, almost flourless, chocolately and dense. Perfection! I am going to use this recipe as the base for my own signature dessert. If it's a hit at this years Christmas party, I'll think about sharing it online. Thanks!

    Variations on Decadence

    Linda Souza from Kaneohe, HI

This dessert was truly enjoyed by everyone, especially my chocoholic future son-in-law. The name says it all - the taste is truly decadent. But maybe not so much, since I substituted Splenda for the sugar and used cinnamon graham crakers for the crust. Truly wonderful! This dessert will certainly appear in many command performances at our house.

This was a delicious recipe. It took a little time to make but the result certainly made it worth it. The chocolate is smooth, creamy and the sweet cream is what set off the chocolate. Highly reccomend this recipe to all chocolate lovers.

This was a very easy and delicious dessert. I assumed it would be fudgier but only the middle section was. It was almost like a very rich fudge brownie. My 5 year old ate it so fast I wasn't sure I'd given him a slice until I noticed the chocolate on his face!!!

    Simple, but worth it!

    Lynn Heidorn from Seward, NE

I agree with the comments that this is a lot like a brownie, but if you pay attention and don't overbake it, it comes out much more tender than the usual brownie would. I prefer it with vanilla ice cream instead of the sweet cream. In any case it's worth the time and attention to detail!

    CHOCOLATE OVERDOSE

    SUE SMITH from STOCKBRIDGE, GA

THIS CAKE IS LIKE A GIANT PIECE OF FUDGE. IF YOU KNOW A CHOCOHOLIC YOU WILL WIN THEM OVER FOR LIFE WITH THIS ONE! ONE REVIEW SAID IT WASN'T VERY GOOD-KINDA LIKE A GIANT BROWNIE - THE TRICK IS DON'T OVERBAKE IT. IT NEEDS TO STILL BE SLIGHTLY STICKY IN THE MIDDLE WHEN YOU TAKE IT OUT OF THE OVEN. AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WHIPPED CREAM OR VANILLA ICE CREAM TO GO WITH IT OR YOU'LL OVERDOSE ON CHOCOLATE!

joe roller from Oak Grove, KY

I have made this before or something similar, and lost the recipe. Glad I had found it again. A very rich tasting desert in my opinion, great for the sweet tooth. and to Chocoholics beware it feeds into your chocolate addictions!

    Could be better...

Jayme Isham from Etna Green, IN

This tasted okay, but nothing more than a thick plain brownie. I would recommend adding hot fudge sauce on top or something to make it more moist. The whip cream just wasn't enough. I really didn't understand why you needed to use tin foil, but it did make cleanup easy.
