PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Line 9-inch-round baking pan with foil. Lightly grease.

MICROWAVE 1 cup morsels in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Cool to room temperature.

BEAT butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs; beat on high speed for 2 to 3 minutes. Beat in melted chocolate. Gradually beat in flour alternately with milk. Stir in remaining morsels. Spoon into prepared baking pan.

BAKE for 40 to 45 minutes until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

BEAT whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract in small mixer bowl until soft peaks form.

LIFT cake from pan; remove foil. Top with Sweetened Cream.

More like a brownie

This did not turn out as I imagined it would and mine crumbled a lot and easily! The taste was great but it was more like a brownie than a cake which is fine because I love brownies. I would make this again but I would add walnuts to it! I'm wondering if I over-baked it and that's why it crumbled. I only have dark cake pans... next time I will cut the bake time a bit and see what happens.

Amazing treat

I made this for my family one night. I saw the receipe on the back of the semi sweet morsels bag and well it was a hit. I have them begging for more. Thank you I will be making this often.

A Must-Try!

I made this for Thanksgiving and it was delicious (and easy to make). I wish it was more presentable: the top layer cracked on mine and it looked dry, although it wasn't. For an even tastier treat, put your slice in the microwave for 10 seconds... AMAZING!

One of my favorites!

This is one of my favorites! It's light, almost flourless, chocolately and dense. Perfection! I am going to use this recipe as the base for my own signature dessert. If it's a hit at this years Christmas party, I'll think about sharing it online. Thanks!
