    Oh lala!

    Brigette from Paris, France

Amen. TRANSLATION This drink is magnificant! Goodness me, I loved it so! The creamy chocolate mixing with my tastebuds made me tremble with pride. I made this amazing drink! With no help from my mom! (She is old). But my mom did love it! She said it was better than anything they made in her french cooking school! (though she may have been exaggerating a bit). I love this drink! The worst part about it was the end... American genuises, send me more! Amen.

This has become a breakfast staple for me. It's very tasty, and is a reasonable punch of carbs, fat and protein so that I'm not starving for lunch an hour later. I occasionally add either honey or half a banana to this shake as well. A note to readers: you can make ANY of these shakes or smoothies with milk, instead of soy milk. The soy milk just gives you the added benefit of a lot more protein as well as isoflavones (and other nutritional benefits).

This shake is awesome. It doesn't need to be made with soy milk, and I don't think the rest of them do either. I made this one with non-fat milk, and it tastes great. It is a great morning shake before school or work too.

The Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake is my absolutely favorite way to prepare Carnation Instant Breakfast. I make it with regular 2% milk because I'm allergic to soy but it still has a great flavor! I highly recommend it!

I think that you should have more recipes that call for milk not soy milk just plain milk.

    Yummy Yummy!

I absolutely love this shake! I had been searching around for a healthy, easy breakfast that I actually enjoyed and this is it! Even my husband, who hates soy milk, actually thought this shake was good. Way to go Carnation!

    Kids loved it

    Brooks from Fort Lewis, WA

Both of my kids liked this one. It's hard to get anything remotely semi-healthy into them so this is a keeper.

This shake is great. I added a few extras to make it just right. I used 2 packets of chocolate instant breakfasts and 1 1/2 cups of milk. I nearly tripled the amount of peanut butter and used crunchy instead of creamy. I loved it!!

For instance, substituting soy milk with whole milk. Or adding ice cream or peanut butter cups to make it taste better. Well all of those add-ins add up. By using whole milk, you are not only increasing the calorie count by the fat content as well. By adding ice cream or peanut butter cups you are doing the same. With all of the add-ins and replacements, the shake has gone from a healthy shake to more of a dessert. To make the shakehealthier than it already is I would suggest that you use 1 cup of skim or fat free milk (app. 80-90cal/cup), 1 tbsp of NATURAL peanut butter(100cal/tbsp-n.peanut butter is not hydrogenated like reg. pb), and the carnation mix. I'm not sure how many calories are in the mix but I'm guessing about 80-100 cal. That would put the shake between 260 and 290 calories. It's still high in calorie count but it is nonetheless healthier for you. And with that, I hope I didnt insult anyone. I just wanted to give my opinion.

Reconsider when adding a lot of stuff...

    Marianne from

Just a thought:As it is the shake is higher in calories than I personally would desire for my breakfast. But I was reading the reviews for it I noticed that a lot of people were substituting or adding ingredients.

    Add Peanutbutter Cups

    Zach from

In this recipie, I added regular milk, and 1 TBLS. Peanutbutter, with the addition of 2 Reeses Peanutbutter Cups. It was delicious. Next time I might add some vanilla or peanutbutter ice cream! YUM!

    It needs a little more

    Stephanie from

It doesn't have that much taste. You get full, but it didn't "satisfy" my tastes as much as I thought it would.

    PurpleBarracouda from

IF you like Reeses PeanutButter cups you'll love my version of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake. I do everything the directions say except I use regular milk instead of vanilaa or plain soymilk. ANd I use two tablespoons of Skippy creamy peanutbutter.then i mix in all in a blender. and drink it.. YUM! It tastes just like a reeses peanut butter cup.
