    BITTER CHOCOLATE TASTE

    Cynthia Martin from BENTON, AR

I HAD TO CROSS TWO OBSTACLES. I COULD NOT FIND THE "NESTLE CHOCO BAKE" IN KROGERS. I SUBSITUTED THE CHOCOLATE. I MELTED THE CHOCOLATE AND MIXED IN WITH THE RESERVED BATTER, IT DIDN'T MAKE SINCE TO STIR THE CHUNKS WITHOUT MELTING THEM. I DRIZZLED CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE GLAZE OVER THE CAKE. I DIDN'T CARE FOR THE CAKE OTHERS DID. I GUESS MY OBSTACLES WERE MY DOWNFALLS.

    Sheilla Thomas from Oviedo, FL

This cake is sooo good, our family eats it with in one day from the time it comes out the oven, and gone by the next evening. The only switch I made was to make a Powered Sugar Frosting which I dribble over.

    WANTED MORE CHOCOLATE

    Tammy Berglund from VIRGINIA, MN

My daughter loved this cake, but I was actually looking for more of a chocolate taste. I wasn't sure about the chocolate pieces that it asked for, but I did find them. I did melt some chocolate and drizzled it on top of the cake. Next time I would definitely stir the chocolate pieces around in the batter before baking it. It is exceptionally good when you heat a piece of it up in the microwave.

    KATHY MOBERG from SALINE, MI

I guess I'm fussier than the other reviewers, but I thought that this cake was boring and bland, and I will not bother to make it again. There are better recipes out there! It was moist, and it fit my 10 cup bundt pan just fine. It looked attractive. It just didn't taste fabulous, only OK.

I have been making bundt cakes since the 70's. I just got my daugher-in- law hooked on them recently. We have both enjoyed making this one. Very easy to make. Travels well and isn't crumbly yet it is moist. Thank you for a wonderful cake. If you can't find chocolate packets I made substitutions after reading about melting chocolate in very best baking.

So few ingredients and such good taste!! I like having the sour cream in it, it makes it moist. I like to make bundt cakes for a change from 2 layer cakes. There's less waste with children, sometimes many kids can't eat 2 layers and it's wasted.
