I make these all the time - I just made a batch last night and they are awesome (I omit the raisins). I tried the recipe with the raisins once, and raisins didn't do anything for this recipe, IMO.

I made these cookies for my husband's lunch yesterday, substituting a bag of Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter morsels for the milk chocolate ones. They are absolutely delicious! They hold their shape in the oven and are tender and chewy, sweet but not overbearingly so. Excellent!

joel tedder from FORT DODGE, IA

cookies that I have ever eaten. Useing the milk chocolate gave it a great taste, and something that the kids have taken over. Baking for the kids and them loving what you make, helps to get them in the kitchen. Now when they want some cookies, I say have at it. They have learned their way around the kitchen from helping me, and they are getting better and better each and every time.

    Soooooooooo Good

Nwosu Nkemdilim from Los Angeles, CA

These cookies where so amazing. I did not add the raisins and used half the chocolate chips recommended. I also used two egg whites, with the Light version of "I can't believe it's not Butter" and the cookies still came out great. My family loved it and I could not stop eating them. What a great recipe!!!!!!!!!!!

These were easy to make but wasn't fond of the raisins. I like raisins but it didnt do the cookie justice. Would have prefered semi sweet chips an maybe coconut instead. Don't get me wrong, I ate them an they were good, but don't know if I would make again.

    Recipe is a snap

    Yvonne Kehoe from Cameron, ON

Found this to be a good and easy recipe. I use a 100% canola oil margarine and found that it did not hinder the taste. My fussy husband even liked them. I omit the nuts usually as I did this time as I do not like nuts in cookies. Everything else I did was as the recipe stated. One thing I do which this recipe doesn't tell you is I always put the raw batter in the frig while each tray of cookies are baking.

This recipe is really good, however since I am not a raisin fan, I used almond nuts instead, it added some crunch and they were very tasty. I recommend this recipe for sure.

I used this recipe yesterday. Instead of raisins I used dried cranberries (had no raisins) and split the morsels between semi=sweet and milk chocolate. They turned out very good. Dried cranberries gave it a nice flavor with the chocolate.

These are the yummiest cookies I have baked in a long time. The taste of oatmeal with the chocolate and the raisins....it's the best. Just when you think you've had it all you get surpised by a light hint of cinnamon! These are a classic.
