Green tinted coconut and colorful Springtime Morsels give this chocolate bark recipe the perfect springtime feel. An ideal dessert for Easter as well.
- Green food coloring
- 1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 1 2/3 cups (10-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Springtime Morsels, divided
LINE baking sheet with wax paper.
DISSOLVE a few drops of food coloring in 1/2 teaspoon water in small, resealable food storage plastic bag. Add coconut. Seal bag and shake to evenly coat coconut.
MICROWAVE semi-sweet morsels in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until melted. Stir in 1 cup Springtime Morsels. Do not allow Springtime Morsels to melt completely. You want to have specks of color within melted semi-sweet chocolate!
SPREAD mixture to 1/4-inch thickness on prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with coconut and top with remaining 2/3 cup morsels. Press tinted coconut and morsels lightly into melted chocolate. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
