Carnation Evaporated Milk

Growing up my Grandmother owned a restaurant. For all the special get togethers she would take out her white picture and pour one can of evaporated milk to 1 quart of milk. Yummy. It was just like cream or today's half and half.

Creamier Milk

Some very good ideas. I have been using Carnation Evaporated Milk in place of milk forever. It just makes everything taste so much better.

Great Product

My mother taught me how to use this product in the kitchen. I use it for everything from scrambled eggs to casseroles. Using plain milk just does not do it for me--it has to be Carnation canned milk whenever a recipe calls for milk. Thank you for an excellent product.

Best Canned Milk EVER!!

I remember my mother using Carnation Evaporated Milk since I was a little tyke.(And that was a long, long time ago). She would use it for baking, cooking etc, you name it she would use it. I remember her using it for her Mashed Potatoes, and I'm the Mashed Potato Queen. When I knew we were having them for dinner, I'd scoot the chair over to the counter, with my own apron helping her, my duties, were to add the milk as she used the hand masher(which I still use to this day)for the potatoes. I also remember my father using it in his coffee, and the aroma was so delightful. When he wanted a late night snack, he would toast up bread(enough for us both), cut it up in squares, heat up the Carnation milk and pour it over our toast with a tad of sugar, ummmm and it was good and I still have it. Carnation Milk was always in my parents cupboards, always in mine, and now in my daughters cupboard. Great product to have along with the great memories.

Carnation evaporated milk

We were out of milk, so decided to use a can of milk. Half milk, half water. It is a very good substitute for the real thing.
