Ingredients:

  • 3 pkgs. (3 oz. each) ramen noodles (any flavor)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels

Directions:

LINE two baking sheets with wax paper.

PLACE noodles in large bowl. Discard noodle seasoning packets or save for another use. Break up noodles into pieces 1/2 inch or smaller in size with wooden spoon. Or, place noodles in resealable plastic bag. Seal bag and break up noodles with rolling pin; transfer to a large bowl. Add pecans to noodles in bowl.

MELT butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add the noodle mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes or until noodles and pecans just begin to brown. Remove mixture from skillet to large bowl; cool slightly.

MELT morsels in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Pour melted morsels over noodle mixture in bowl. Toss until noodle mixture is completely coated. Drop by rounded teaspoons into mounds onto prepared baking sheets (mixture will appear loose, but will hold together when set). Let stand for 45 to 60 minutes or until set.

Surprising and very versatile!

I've made this many times and have tried several combinations of morsels, nuts and other ingredients. Have loved all! Have added coconut for a good result. White chocolate and butterscotch morsels with peanuts and miniature marshmallows have been the best yet! Put the marshmallows in after the noodle mixture has cooled a bit.

I alternated this recipe by using peanut butter chips and chopped peanuts. I also made a batch of clusters by changing the nuts to almonds and still using white choc chips. Loved them both..

I made these for a sweet treat and they were a big hit. So easy and so good. I did add some butterscotch chips this time, but I would imagine any chocolate would work. I'm planning on making these again,(next week), for a birthday party we are hosting,so I know they will be well recieved.

I'm one of those rare birds that hate the soggy limp ramen noodles but I love a cookie with a crunch. I made these and what a suprise I got. Now I have a use for the ramen noodles and a very good one at that. Glad I tried this recipe.

I've made these for years, but usually with chow mein noodles - never thought about using ramen noodles, but they are just as good. You can vary the kind of chips and they are all good. I've even mixed butterscotch chips and chocolate chips. Very easy for the kids to help with.
