Deep rich chocolate flavors and sweetened whipped cream are a great combination for this easy-to-make, luscious Decadent Chocolate Satin Pie. Sprinkle with your favorite chopped nuts before serving.


  • 1 prepared 9-inch (6 oz.) graham cracker crust
  • 1 1/4 cups NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 2/3 cups (10-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Dark Chocolate Morsels
  • Sweetened whipped cream
  • Chopped nuts (optional)

WHISK together evaporated milk and egg yolks in medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is very hot and thickens slightly; do not boil. Place morsels in food processor fitted with metal blade. With processor running, slowly pour milk mixture into chocolate. Process 10 to 20 seconds. Scrape down sides and continue processing until smooth.

POUR into crust. Refrigerate for 3 hours or until firm. Top with sweetened whipped cream before serving; sprinkle with nuts.

Deeply rich pie

Excellent dark chocolate flavor. My only issue with this recipe is that the filling does not completely fill up the pie crust. I had about 1/4" between the top of the filling and the remainder of the pie cavity. It obviously didn't affect the flavor; it just looked off. However, this is an excellent recipe for those who prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate.

Great for chocolate lovers

I recently made this for a family dinner desert and everyone loved it.

Not so great

I was really dissappointed with this recipe. It did not turn out as tall as in the picture, and it felt like eating pure melted chocolate on a crust. Too dense and rich. I will not make it again :-(
