Decorated Sugar Cookies
It's easy to make delicious sugar cookies and decorating them is even more fun!
- 1 pkg. (16.5 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Bar Dough, well chilled
- All-purpose flour
- Easy Cookie Icing (Recipe Follows)
- Decorator sprinkles

SPRINKLE flour onto work surface. Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness, using additional flour as needed to prevent sticking. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Transfer cookies to ungreased cookie sheets with spatula.
BAKE for 10 to 14 minutes or until light brown around edges. Smaller cutters and sharp edges tend to produce darker cookies. Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Decorate as desired. Recipe makes 2 dozen cookies.
FOR EASY COOKIE ICING:
COMBINE 1 cup sifted powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon milk and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract in small bowl. Stir in additional milk, a teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency. For colored icing, tint with food coloring.

I just bought a whole bunch of cookie cutters to make christmas cookies and this recipe sounds so easy so I'm getting back to my baking self again!
I love this icing recipe! My children are just old enough so that we are starting to bake together. My daughter Chloe just loves to cook, anything, anytime. We always have lots of fun making sugar cookies and decorating them.

Picture Perfect Cookies
My 11 year old Granddaughter and I had a great time making cookies with the packaged dough and the recipe for the icing was the best. It was easy, very tasty and made our Christmas tree cookies look great.
This is definitely the simplest icing for cookies. I taught my daughter to make it and she loves to decorate the cookies for her school parties.
