Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese is an elegant twist on the great American classic recipe. Chopped tomatoes and green onions give this dish extra class and color. Perfect for all occasions.
- 1 package (40 oz.) STOUFFER'S Macaroni & Cheese, defrosted according to package directions
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
PREHEAT oven to 375° F.
COMBINE macaroni and cheese, tomato and green onions in 2-quart baking dish.
COMBINE breadcrumbs, cheese and butter in small bowl; sprinkle over macaroni and cheese.
BAKE for 20 to 25 minutes or until topping is lightly browned and cheese is melted.

Just like Mom's mac & cheese in 1960!
This is THE best frozen mac and cheese I've ever eaten, bar none. Mom used to make her mac & cheese with a cheesy white sauce and bake it in a hot oven. Man, this is just like hers! You've outdone yourselves! I recently had weight reduction surgery, and know good food when I taste it! Thanks for making my dinner!
