Ingredients:

1 pkg. (16.5 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Dough
1/2 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

Directions:

PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 9-inch heart-shaped pan.

PLACE whole bar of dough in prepared pan. Allow to soften for 5 to 10 minutes. Using fingertips, pat dough gently to cover bottom.

BAKE for 17 to 19 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely.

MICROWAVE morsels in small, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 45 seconds; stir. Microwave at additional 10-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread over cookie to within 1-inch of edge.

I will try this for my Girl scouts but I have had probelms when I was using the individual cookies and placing them in a heart shaped dish. They burn on the bottom and the middle was raw.

What a great idea ! My only suggestion is to line the pan with foil, leaving some hanging over the edges. It makes it easier to remove the cookie from the pan.

We made this recepie but we cut out smaller thinner hearts and when cooled, frosted one half of the cookies with chocolate and topped with another cookie, the other half we put chocolate chip icecream in the middle of the two cookies then drizzeled those with the chocolate. They were a big hit with all the family, even though it is still winter.

I've made this a number of times to celebrate various special days and it's always appreciated. Rather than melt the chips to frost this cookie, I evenly spread them on the cookie as soon as it comes out of the oven, preserving a border. After about 5 minutes, it spreads easily.
