Escalloped Chicken & Ham Casserole

Ingredients

1 package (40 oz.) Family Size Escalloped Chicken & Noodles, defrosted according to package directions
2 packages (10 oz.) frozen broccoli spears, defrosted and drained
8 ham slices, 1/4-inch thick
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

 

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 400°F.

DIVIDE broccoli into 8 servings; roll ham slice around each serving of broccoli. Place rolls seam side down in 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Spoon chicken and noodles over ham rolls; sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

BAKE for 30 to 35 minutes.

    My family loves ham AND broccoli, but you put it together with this pre-made Stouffers dinner and the whole thing tastes like I opened a can and dumped it on their plates. I like to make from-scratch dinners and I may have spoiled my family to the point that short cuts like this have no appeal. No offense to those who had success with it, but to others thinking about trying this one I'd say "Think outside the (pre-made dinner) box!"

    Tasty but not filling

    This recipe was easy to prepare and instead of using brocolli I used fresh asparagus. It was really tasty, but it lacked content to make it filling. Would be a great accompaniment to any meal.
