I found this to be a great recipe, very simple and easy but could not find the banana milk but used regular 2% milk and was a great hit at my job. Everyone loved it and they keep asking me for the recipe. This is definitely a must try recipe and all fingers up.

I change this recipe up a tad. I use vanilla wafers for the pie crust. You can use a food processor to grind up the wafers or just buy a pre-made one at the grocery store. Then sometimes, I put a thin layer of fudge on the bottom of the pie crust. Also, I put THREE bananas directly into the pudding-cool whip mixture. This way you get bananas in every bite. My family loves this pie.

I have made the Extreme Banana Cream Pie, several times now. It was a big hit at a family get together. I have also tried making it into a Extreme Strawberry Cream Pie by using fresh strawberries, Nestle Strawberry milk and white chocolate pudding mix (next time I am going to try cream cheese pudding mix with the strawberries & coconut cream pudding mix with the bananas) Next year I may even have the time to make some to sell at the Awana's Food Booth for the county fair.

This is a great recipe! I could not find the Buncha Banana milk anywhere around here and I substituted the Nesquick Very Vanilla milk. It worked out just fine though. Also substituted a graham crust and it was fantastic.

    Going Ape Over This Pie

Sherry Shinn from LEES SUMMIT, MO

This was one of the best pie recipes I have ever tried. I also made one using the Sugar Cookie variety for the crust. Actually, I liked it better than the Chocolate Chip cookie crust. I did have a hard time finding the 16 oz bottle of the Banana-flavored milk, but the third store I tried had it by the checkout stand cooler. I will definitely keep this recipe!

My husband's favorite dessert is banana pudding so when I found this recipe on VBB I thought he would like it. That's putting it mildly! He loved it! He usually lets me know what he likes but this time he said that he really liked the chocolate chip cookie crust. We really aren't very wild about graham cracker crust in pies and I think we've found a new favorite. I'm anxious to try different pie recipes using cookie dough. Thanks again VBB!

My husband bragged to a friend of ours about this pie. She wanted the receipe. He found my grocery list, thought that was the receipe and wrote it down for her. Once he told me, I gave him a copy of the receipe for her. Also made this for my neighbor and her family devoured it. Her son-in-law wanted to know if I would make another just for him.

This was delicious and elegant but almost too big so I put the left overs in a plastic container and placed in the freezer for a couple of days. It turned out to be the best Ice Cream ever. So I got two desserts out of one recipe. Thanks,Best Bakers.

    Best Banana Pie

    denise allen from WHEATFIELD, IN

This is the best banana pie ever! I made a few minor changes; I used one small box of french vanilla pudding and one small box of banana pudding. I also put it in a graham cracker crust.

  • Star(s)

    too sweet

Lorraine Hover from Sierra Vista, AZ

I found this recipe too sweet. I think by using a different crust, such as a graham cracker or just a "plain" crust would make a big difference. But the chocolate/banana combo was delicious!

Fun to make - Yummy to eat

    Sigrid BIERMANN from SMYRNA, TN

My boys had fun making this with me. They especially liked the cookie crust (and eating the remaining cookies!). I would probably decrease the number of cookies I used as the crust was a bit too thick. But at home and work, I was given a number of compliments.

    A little extra

    Barbara Staples from WAYLAND, MA

I made the banana cream pie and what a surprise when my son added a little extra he sprinkled melted chocolate on the pie and what a heavenly addition it made. The pie was easy to make and gave us fun time together to be creative. He also put them in individual cups with the chocolate for mini desserts.
