This pasta was very good, I used fresh tomatoes instead of canned tomatoes and it was delicious. Very chunky my husband loved it, but it was VERY filling, I think I made too much. Anyway over all really good!

    New Favorite Pasta Sauce!

Angeline Adams from HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA

I made this last night and eveyone loved it. I used Fat Free evaporated Milk insted of the heavy cream and I used tequila insted of the vodka and it was still great. I also added chicken insted off ham and topped it with spinach. I am definatly making this again!

    By Far the Best

    Justin from

This is by far the best sauce I have ever made, you can make slight ajustments to it like using chicken instead of ham or different types of pasta and it always comes out great. I cook all the time anything from easy dishes to very complicated, and this is easy and great. It is even great for small dinner parties, or a quiet romantic dinner w/ someone special and a bottle of wine.

I made this for a small dinner party - at first i was skeptical because i didnt get a chance to test it out before making it for the party. EVERYONE was blown away at how great this was!! I think it has a perfect balance of herbs, pasta, and ham!! Everyone would not stop talking about it!! I will definitely be making this one again!!!

    Very rich

This was a nice change of pace from what I usually make. The four star rating is just because it's a bit too rich for me.

    Can I call you MOM?

    Lise Wilson from Keller, TX

I made this last night and got reviews from the neighborhood kids. They asked if they could call me MOM! My own kids thought it was great - and they will only eat cheese based sauces! Nothing with tomatoes in it! They loved it! I didn't have any vodka - so I put in chicken stock instead - Great!

I made this for dinner last night and it came out excellent! I used half and half because that is what I had on hand and the consistancy was perfect. I will definately make it again. Everyone loved it!

    CarrieAnne from louisville, ky

I had this for dinner lastnight. It was so easy that I couldn't believe how good it really was. I was hesitant to eat anything with vodka in it, but we couldn't even tell it was in there. I know I will make it again.

    Restaurant Quality

    Anna Poquette from Honolulu

Too bad the review has only 5 stars, I give it 10! I did some adjusting, doubling the garlic, orageno and basil and adding some bacon. The cooking took me 10 minutes and I served it with some garlic bread on the side. My husband thought I slaved all day.... but he doesn't need to know...

This dish was fantastic! I used half and half instead of cream. Didn't hurt it at all. I might try chicken next time. But otherwise a dish that would make guests sit up and take notice.

This easy, delicious and can be adapted for vegetarians ( as I did) by simply omitting the ham...no real difference in the taste.

Fast to prepare, and easily adjusted to feed a big crowd in style. I serve this dish buffet style, with a Ceasar salad and crusty Italian rolls.

    It's A Keeper!

    K. Rhoades from Edmonton, AB

This recipe caught my eye and I had to give it a go. I did a fair bit of substitution, but tried to hold true to the original. I used light cream (10%) and a tablespoon or so of sour cream. Diced hot Italian sausage and chicken breast were added instead of ham and I also used one reviewer's suggestion of fresh tomatoes instead of tinned. It's delicious any way you want to prepare it and when my husband goes back for seconds, I know it's a keeper!

Some last minute dinner plans were cancelled and instead I had to make a romantic dinner for my boyfriend and I. The old addage that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach is certainly true - he LOVED this dish, and it was so easy to make. Enjoy!

    Deliriously Delicious

    Marcella from

This was wonderful - I added a little more of the spices than what it called for, some cubed chicken breast, precciutto (instead of regular ham, more vodka, and cayenne pepper. It was absolutely fabulous, but I don't think it makes enough sauce for the amount of pasta it calls for, so double up on the sauce ingredients.
