firecracker cookies

I had made them several times years ago. In the old book I had they were called surprise crackles. Very good and chewy.

Firecracker Fuge Cookies

I absolutely adore these cookies! I like to add in some crushed up Peppermint sticks (the old fashioned baking kind) for a real treat during Christmas time. Served with a steamy cup of Hot Nestles Cocoa. YUUUMMMMMYYYY!! The kids love them too!

Cookies ( fudge cookies)

These are great to take to a family reunion. They are easy to make and the kids love to help with the powdered sugar part. All my family enjoys them.

Yummy!

I have made this recipe many times and always get recipe requests. I sometimes add chopped walnuts or pecans, and have made them using regular chips melted in the cookie dough but mint chocolate chips stirred in for a change of pace. No matter how I make them, they are always yummy!
