Fritters with Coffee Syrup
These simple "fritters" are quick, unique and tasty. The delicious coffee syrup is also great with pancakes, waffles, French toast, crêpes and over ice cream.
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
- 10 (6-inch) fajita-size flour tortillas
- Coffee Syrup (recipe follows)

HEAT oil in medium skillet. Fry tortillas one at a time, turning once, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle fritters with cinnamon sugar. Serve with Coffee Syrup.
(Makes 1 cup)
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon NESCAFÉ CLÁSICO Pure Instant Coffee Granules
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
COMBINE sugar, water and coffee granules in medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat until it reaches a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until syrup thickens. Remove from heat; add vanilla extract.
