    Made Over And Over Again

    Karlynn from

I have made this for so many parties. I believe that it could never get old. I have changed it through the times I have made it. I don't put the tomatoes in it because tomatoes don't keep very good. Also I have replaced the Tortellini with just some basic shell noodles. I like the taste better with the shells and shells are much cheaper

    Excellent Light Summer Salad

Margie from Chandler, AZ from Chandler, AZ

I made this for my granddaughters birthday party, did not use the tuna or chicken and used Zesty Italian Dressing, also added bacon crumbles and whole grape tomatoes. Let the tortellini, bacon bits and blanched broccoli marinate for a couple of hours in the fridge then just before serving added the italian salad and tomatoes. Everyone raved about it and my husband asked for it for lunch to take to work. Excellent recipe, you can be so creative with it. My husband doesn't like any type of pasta so thought he would hate it, was I wrong.

    Great

    Janine from Voorhees, NJ

I made this last night for my family and it was a hit. I thought it was a bit overpowering with the Italian dressing. Next time I might try this with a balsamic vinegar and I was thinking about adding some crumbled feta. Overall though, this was a tasty and refreshing pasta salad. Perfect for bringing to a BBQ because it would be fine sitting outside because there is no mayo involved.

My kids won't each raw vegetables so I actually cooked the broccoli and used canned tomatoes. They won't eat olives either. My kids loved it and it was a very simple dish.

    Rave reviews!

    Anneka from Sacramento, CA

I made this salad yesterday for a work potluck. I was an intant hit! I like to use a bit of color in my cooking, so I used tri-color tortellini and an orange bell pepper. I am not the biggest fan with raw brocolli, so I decided to blanch the vegetables. I found it to be prefect! I will definitely make this one again. Simple and delicious!

    Wonderful Salad...

    Angela from Greensboro, NC

This is an absolutely wonderful salad which can be served as an accompaniment to meal or as a meal in itself. I served it to dinner guests and to my family as an accompaniment to an Italian meal. It adds so much to the table because it is very colorful and different ( a "no-lettuce" salad). Would be excellent for luncheons, parties, etc.

    Excellent

    Julia from Antelope,CA

I read the recipe at work and on the way home decided to buy all the ingredients and make it for dinner. My husband was a little concerned because he says he doesn't like olives (even asked me not to put olives in the salad, but I did anyway) we both ate it and he went for seconds. The salad tasted great (i also added chicken strips) and decided I am making this salad for my Christmas family gathering this year.

This was so easy and delicious

    carol from fEDERAL wAY, wa

I cut the recipe is half and it was fantastic. I still had leftovers since there is only two of us at home. I took the rest into work the next day and everyone loved it. I added chicken to it. I will make this again and again. A great recipe to take for a potluck. It tastes even better the next day.

    Fantastic!

    BW from Virginia

I cut the recipe in half (but still added the whole can of ripe olives). It was fantastic. I served it with hot garlic bread and it was a big hit with my friends. You could add some diced ham or pepperoni to it and make it extra yummy; but it was really good as is. I'm taking it to my next potluck luncheon!

    Very Good

    Lora from Victoria, BC

I used a roasted red pepper and garlic Italian dressing and it tasted great! Also, because my ravioli had unknowingly expired the first time I made this recipe, I just used some rotini pasta I had on hand and cut up cheddar cheese cubes and it still turned out great. A very easy and versatile salad.

    Easy but so so

    J.O. from NC

This pasta salad is so easy to make but it's a little...I don't know. Not one of the best pasta salads I've ever had. I guess by changing the dressing and/or the tortellini it would make it better. It might also be good with some more protein (chicken, tuna, tofu, etc).

A Different Twist on an Old Favorite

    Margaret Mazza from Bloomfield, NJ

I made this dish to bring to a BBQ and it was a hit. However, I left out the tuna for all of the vegetarians. I thought the idea to use Cheese Tortellini was a great idea, just added a little something extra.
