A rich mixture of chocolate, coconut and pecans makes these 'German chocolate' brownies stand out from the rest.
- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Mini Brownie Bites Bar Dough
- 1 (16 oz.) container coconut pecan frosting
PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 8-inch-square baking pan.
PLACE whole bar of dough in prepared pan. Allow to soften for 5 to 10 minutes. Using fingertips, pat dough gently to fill pan.
BAKE for 24 to 26 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
SPREAD frosting over brownies. Cut into bars.

NOT German Chocolate!
This recipe should be re named. It is NOT a German chocolate brownie since German's sweet chocolate is not used. It's just a brownie with coconut pecan frosting. (not even a scratch made brownie)It is misleading to those of us who actually cook from scratch AND were searching for an actual German Chocolate Brownie recipe using German's Sweet Chocolate. Great for kids but, not for real bakers.
