The Best I've Tasted So Far!

    C D from Washington State

I've been baking this bread to give as gifts for the past couple years now and have yet to see it not turn out perfectly. It's moist and flavorful and freezes beautifully too.

    Great Recipe! Cranberry tip...

    Amanda P from NC

This is a perennial favorite with family and friends. EXCELLENT hostess gift that most everyone can enjoy. I use fresh cranberries doubling the quantity. I blanch the additional half of the cranberries and divide for each loaf - sprinkle each portion on top of loaf before baking (I go right down the center of the loaf) for a beautiful presentation. I always get questions about where I bought the "fancy" bread! Get ready for oodles of compliments and perhaps a few orders from your not-so-baking-friendly friends.

    Gift-Giving Pumpkin Cranberry Bread

    DEBORAH HINELY from PRATTVILLE, AL

We loved the pumpkin cranberry bread. To try and make an even healthier version, I substituted half of the flour with wheat flour, and used applesauce instead of oil. Turned out to be deliciously moist and tasty.

    Cranberry Bread for Idiots

    Jamie V. from Milwaukee, WI

This is a phenomenal and simple recipe (my 9 year old put it together)! Even my picky kids LOVED it. It was so delicious and moist and came out perfect, even though I could manage to wreck and destroy any bakery recipe you put in front of me. Totally Idiot Proof! We've tried others that were too tart or turned out like dry bricks, but this is just the best and we will be making plenty of this to give to family and friends for holiday gifts.

    Lost and Found

Kay Humbert from Fort Wayne, IN

I made this bread last year for gifts and it was GREAT! My son and I made several versions; his favorite was with mini-chocolate chips. I lost the recipe because I couldn't find it today. I remembered it was on the back of the pumpkin can label, but it's not there this year. Anyhow, I found your web address and am SOOO glad the recipe is there. THANK YOU!!

This was so good and made 4 loaves which I loved. I needed to make a lot of loaves for gift baskets and this was great. I put rasins and nuts in some of them. I may add some fresh fruits I have on hand the next time. This recipe is a keeper.

    This bread was a hit!

    WENDY BURCHIK from MADISON, WI

Everyone who I shared this bread with loved it! I used fresh cranberries. I did notice that they had a tendency to "float" to the top. I'm not sure that dried would do the same. But, the fresh gave such a nice tartness to the bread that I would use them again.

I made this in small loaves to give neighbors & friends at Christmas & had so many requests for more that I had to make big loaves. I also discovered that it improves with age. I wrapped the loaves in foil & refrigerated. Two weeks later the bread was even better. Great recipe.

Give a loaf, get a smile!

    Leslie Mason from HUGHSON, CA

I gave loaves of this recipe to a number of our friends over Christmas; I added a fresh-queezed orange juice glaze. The loaf was placed on a Christmas plate, gathered up in clear saran and tied with a tartan bow. We delivered them on Christmas Eve and suggested they serve it with Christmas breakfast. Since we are blessed with many friends, the 4 loaves yield per recipe is great!

This was wonderful and very moist. Since Michigan is noted for its cherries I used some that I had in the freezer from last summer in half the batter. Since I enjoy cranberries I added those to the other half.My friends were very grateful for the delicious homemade goodies.

Marianne Bochilo from ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY

I made this recipe for the 1st time this xmas and I gave it as gifts to a few aunts and my childrens teachers. Everyone who got one called me to tell me they had to have this recipe because it was so good. I saved a loaf for my family and I ate the whole thing. I loved it too. I must say that this recipe makes a lot a loafs. I made it in 8x4 loaf pans and it made six loafs. I will definately make this recipe again and again. But next time I might cut the recipe in half. Thank you for sharing this great recipe with us! My family loved and really enjoyed this bread.

    Fantastic Bread

Maria T. Camilleri-Bovey from Spokane, WA

Thsi recipe which I found on a can of Libby's pure Pumpkin was simply a Christmas hit and my husband wants to make sure that we always have the ingredients on hand at home to make any time. I gave so much of it away as gift to relatives, friends and neighbors and they all want the recipe! I place the finished product in a dry tin that is lined and the bread remains so fresh - but I can't say for a long time, because it never lasts a long time after it is made! I have had so many people tell me that this is not bread! It's like eating cake! Thank you so much!
